I checked out the reviews and they are spot on. Chaila was my waitress and she was fantastic. She made awesome recommendations. This place has a fight of Heavens Door whiskey that you will love. The crab fingers are some of the best I've ever had. This was my first visit to Baton Rouge and this is the place you want to dine and have a drink. The place has character and there is a huge amount of draft beers. This is a must if you are passing through. The house salad dressing with Tabasco is wonderful. I bet everything is great here. Can't wait to go back.

The bacon wrapped shrimp and jambalaya was absolutely incredible. It was the best thing I have eaten in quite a while. Fantasic job. The server was very friendly and helpful too.

Great good! Haven’t had a single disappointing meal here. Their po-boys are wonderful, and some of the best fries! Eat up on the roof when the weather is good.

ELSIE'S PLATE & PIE REVIEWS

Stellar service, refreshingly creative and outstandingly delicious. I got the perfect mix of savory and sweet with a Natchitoches Three Meat Pie and Apple pie. Our server Leigh was wonderful! Even my picky friend ended up ordering two entrees and a dessert!! The pricing is surprisingly low for such a unique, well crafted menu and experience. 100% coming back.

Took a sec to find parking, but it was worth it! Delicious! If I lived nearby I'd return several times to try different things on this menu.

Food was amazing. Will definitely come back to try more dishes. The service was great as well.

CAPITAL CITY GRILL REVIEWS

If you are looking for good food and outdoor seating options, this is your place. I have dined at this establishment twice and highly recommend giving them a shot. We asked to sit outside both times and still had good service. The servers recommended dishes. Everything was great. Conveniently located on Lafayette St. downtown Baton Rouge. The desserts are outstanding if you can save room.

Good place to dine. I was with a large party and the waitstaff handled it without a flaw. Everyone was happy with their food and it arrived quicker than I anticipated. Portions were good size. Parking isn’t the best. They could use valet for sure.

Delicious!!! Nothing like a cold beer in a frosted glass on a hot day. Gator bites are yummy and tender. Catfish poboy also great. Keslie behind the bar was amazing and kicked some serious booty all by herself.
