This restaurant is fantastic. The food is absolutely incredible and the service was great. Jonathan did a fantastic job explaining the menu to us, he was very friendly and accommodating.
The food is creative and delicious. Try the beef tenderloins with gnocchi...the meal is INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS. The staff are cool. It used to be a warehouse and is gorgeous inside. Outdoor seating. Top notch experience. Shout out to Jonathon...awesome waiter.
Miles and Alex provided excellent service! The best chicken dish I've ever had. The black-eyed peas accompanied pork chops were perfect. The creme brulee was pecan candied heaven.
Butcher and The Rye's owner and chef were Richard DeShantz. It is the first Pittsburgh bar to be decided for a "James Beard Foundation Award for Outstanding Bar Program" for two consecutive years. The two-story restaurant is a goal for its excellent whiskey selection and original menu, which offers modern riffs on rustic American dishes. Its indoor has tattoo-inspired murals adorn the tables and seats, the entry displays vintage knives and axes, and the antique doorknobs are made as purse hooks at the bar. BUTCHER AND THE RYE REVIEWS
This is our favorite restaurant! We come from our foodie city of Cleveland every year to celebrate our anniversary here. The atmosphere is so perfectly swanky, especially in the Rye Bar. Service is always great, never had a bad dish, and the cocktails are wonderfully balanced. If you appreciate whiskey, a stop to see the wall of whiskey alone is worth the trip. Try the shishito peppers and order any dessert, you won't be disappointed. Thanks for giving us an awesome spot to celebrate a memorable 14 years together.
I ordered the buttermilk fried rabbit which tasted amazing. I also had the dirty pasta to start which was yummy as well. The restaurant atmosphere is very nice and homey. I came a second time a few weeks later and ordered the burger which also did not disappoint! My friend ordered the steak and said it was yummy as well. I think the rabbit is the most unique dish and worth a try though!.
Excellent food, great service. Incredible whiskey selection. There is no salt and pepper on the table because you DON'T need it. Not only was the food great it was seasoned properly by the chef. Great experience.

DELUCA'S DINER REVIEWS
An excellent dinner in the heart of the Strip District. Lots of breakfast and lunch options, and very good service. I ordered the Californian omelet, and it was probably the best omelet I've ever ordered. Do not miss your chance to visit this diner.
This morning was my first time here. Was recommended by a former local friend of mine. The food was perfect. Portions are huge. Staff was warm and friendly. The coffee was great too. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for good fair priced food.
Love this place. The staff was great and the food was really good. Love these greasy spoon types of breakfast places. If you are a Pitt regular or traveling in the downtown area, I would check this place out.
