NAKAMA REVIEWS
Delicious and they cater very well to food allergies. They even had gluten free soy sauce! The bathrooms were fancy and the food portion sizes were good. I definitely recommend asking for reduced salt because with any restaurant nowadays it tends to be a bit too much.
Excellent food, and even better service. These workers are getting things done during these hard times with the pandemic. I am very please and impressed with how clean and spotless the inside of this restaurant is. Not mention, the killer lunch deals, all this food for 13$!! If you are ever in the southside area, make it a priority to try Nakama sometime, you WON’T be disappointed.
Always a delight! We go for special occasions, because it's a little more expensive than a casual outing, but it is so worth it. The hibachi is amazing, the sushi is beautiful and delicious, the drinks are impressive, it's just a whole experience. Everything is made perfectly right in front of you. The staff is friendly, pleasant, and attentive. The decor is subtle but refined. If you're looking for a special night out, I highly recommend Nakama.

This was actually a lot better than I thought it would be. My friend kept telling me about it, and I am so happy we went! It was spicy and tasty and filled with wonderful vegetables and flavors. Their miso soup was nice and strong and the portions were huge. Their wait staff was super friendly as well, I would absolutely go back.
Great Ramen place and friendly staff. Haven't found better yet in Pittsburgh. Highly recommend the vegetable ramen. Portion is large and served hot and the wide selection of fresh veggies are perfect for any vegetarian. Also like the Takoyaki (fried octopus balls with eel sauce) for any pescatarians out there.

UMAMI REVIEWS
Wow!! Make a reservation and go here right now! Everything about Umami is a vibe. It’s super clean and the restaurant is beautiful. The food is hard to describe, the menu was so unique but at the same time has flavors that anyone who likes Japanese food will love! This has to be the most unique and overall best upscale sushi restaurant in Pittsburgh.
Wow! We were squeezed in for a friends birthday with a private room which we were highly appreciative of. Everyone was so kind and accommodating, we had one of the best dinners and was a highlight of our trip. The service and the product was absolutely excellent, cannot recommend enough.
The best Japanese food I have had since moving to Pennsylvania from Michigan. Maybe the best in Pittsburgh entirely. Umami has a cozy seating area, with a great selection of specials and the freshest tasting sushi I’ve had. The drinks are ice cold too and they have a solid selection of Japanese beers including staples such as Sapporo and Kirin Ichiban. I got one of the bowls in this image which has a selection of raw fish topped with a quail egg on a bed of rice. Once quarantine is over, this is my first choice of where to go again.
