3 Best Assisted Living Facilities in Springfield, IL

We've had an excellent experience at Brenden Gardens. My mom, (90s) first stayed on and off for a year when we traveled. Then she moved in full-time. Kathy is great, she guided us through the entire experience. Chrissy and really the entire staff are kind and caring. The halls could use some updating for sure, but my mom's apartment is nice, the common areas are clean and attractive. There are many activities daily. I love that people can have pets, that's a great feature.

Our family cannot express how much we appreciate and love Brenden Gardens. The wonderful staff members and caretakers treat our mom with kindness, compassion, and dignity. They are sincere and value each resident from the heart. We could not ask for better care and a better home. Thank you Brenden Gardens!!

Brenden Gardens feels like home from the moment you step inside. The staff is incredibly attentive, always going the extra mile to ensure that the residents are well cared for. The real magic of this place, however, lies in the relationships built between residents and staff. It’s clear that everyone is treated like family, and this sense of connection is what makes Brenden Gardens stand out as one of Springfield’s finest senior living communities.

Cedarhurst is an amazing place with a wonderful and caring staff. Everyone working there couldn’t be nicer and they are always laughing and joking with the residents fostering an excellent community to reside in. They truly care about their residents. They constantly have a wide variety of activities to keep everyone busy if they choose to be. They also have special events monthly such as the Spring Carnival, Irish dancers for St Patrick’s Day, and several Easter events (Palm Sunday, Thursday annotating of the feet, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday) to name a few. Much time and effort is spent on these events and it clearly shows.

My musical group played at Cedarhurst yesterday. When we arrived, the staff had set aside a nice corner for us to set up in, along with an appropriate number of chairs. They'd also prepared the room with a few rows of chairs for the residents who wished to attend. On this occasion, there was a nice mix of assisted-living residents and memory-care residents. Muriel and her team made sure everyone was comfortable, and they sat among the audience interacting positively with them, frequently encouraging them to sing along, especially on our signature "closer", Sweet Caroline! It was an hour of togetherness and joy for all. Our group comes out and plays at Cedarhurst once a month, and it's always uplifting to observe how Muriel and the entire staff treat every resident with respect and kindness!

My mom is enjoying life at CEDARHURST Assisted Living. They take good care of her, are attentive to all her needs, and watch out for her well-being. The staff and management are the best I’ve engaged with in the last two years. Thank you all at Cedarhurst!
