3 Best Bakeries in Dayton, OH

The 3 up front were super nice and helpful today even while they were slammed with orders when I and my buddy came in! The pretzels were fresh, downright perfect, can't ask for nothing else.

I work at a Dayton area church, and we decided to surprise the congregation with hot pretzels from Smales on Super Bowl Sunday. It was a big order. We needed 500 pretzels for each of our two services, and the timing needed to be precise. The folks at Smales wanted to make sure everything was perfect for us, so they delivered 500 fresh hot pretzels right before each service. Each pretzel was individually sleeved with a mustard packet in each sleeve. The bulk pricing was great. The delivery was perfectly on time both times. The pretzels were delicious and well received! The person who delivered them even gave us a great tip on freezing and reheating them later. The customer service through email was extremely helpful multiple times. I'm very happy with our entire experience with Smales, and I love supporting local businesses.

Took out students for a field trip. The staff was super kind and friendly. The manager allowed the students to form pretzles, and they enjoyed the experience so much. Definitely, aligned with our hands-on learning model.

I've gotten the cinnamon rolls a couple times now and they are probably the best I've ever had (and I've tried quite a few). I've also tried some of the muffins and they were great too. The prices are higher than you'd pay for these items in the grocery store, but the quality is worth it. Plus the portions for most of the sweets are bigger than you'd get in most grocery stores. If you're in the Dayton area, I'd definitely recommend coming to Big Sky Bread Co.

Exceptional service, amazing food and desserts. You can’t go wrong with ANY of the muffins. But must try blueberry lemon, cherry crumb & blueberry crumb. The muffins are so moist makes my mouth water just thinking about them. Best muffins in Ohio & it’s not close. That’s before we get to the loaves & cinnamon rolls. All different flavor loaves that rival the muffins so you just gotta get some of each. Then… the cinnamon rolls! Cinnamon roll connoisseurs tested the cinnamon rolls from big sky and now I won’t eat any other cinnamon roll from anywhere else. Phenomenal bakery.

I have heard great things about Big Sky Bread Co. Today was my first visit and I was not disappointed. There were lots of different breads and muffins on offer. I was particularly impressed with the fresh pretzel sticks and pretzel knots. I definitely enjoyed my experience and will definitely be back.
