Came here last weekend with my fiancè and sat on the patio to enjoy the gorgeous weather! Charli was our server and I just wanted to give her a special shoutout to this amazing woman who took such great care of us! Her recommendations were absolutely perfect! The biscuit eggs and gravy were absolutely amazing and really hit the spot! We were celebrating the news of our first baby and she made us feel so special!!! Please please ask for CHARLI when you visit and you will NEVER be disappointed! Management please do right by her because she is such a perfect gem and is the sole reason we will back a thousand times over! Her and the food of course :)))

Today, I came in for breakfast. Got greeted by a beautiful young lady named cat. Very nice, told me some options that I should try. I got the honey butter Benedict and it was amazing. Very fast to get everything I needed. She is one of the best servers I have had in a long time.

Absolutely loved everything about this cafe and Charli is fantastic! She was extremely helpful and helped us order the most delicious food! Will absolutely come see her anytime I am in Charlotte!

CAFE SOUTH REVIEWS

Our waitress was great. She did a great job of making suggestions and also brought me a sample of the chicken salad, which was really good. People make it so different so I always like to try it if I can before I order it. However, I decided to try the fried chicken with fried okra and fried squash. The chicken was great. The okra and squash were really good as well. I'm used to thin fried squash with not much breading. This was much thicker with more breading than I'm used to but was still good and not greasy which I was worried about when she brought it out. You get a choice of biscuit or cornbread and I went with the cornbread. It was a good choice. Good flavor and very moist. I would recommend both the fried chicken and chicken salad. They also had some good looking desert slices but I was too full to try them. Go check them out. The food was great and everyone was so nice and friendly.

Everybody seems very friendly and accommodating and the food was quite good. I had something called liver mush which I have never had in my life and it was quite a tasty little treat. Then after breakfast I had a caramel apple pie that was warmed up with ice cream and that was even better.

Shay was absolutely wonderful. Our 1st visit was made by her. Food was outstanding and we had the usual breakfast items. Also hats off to grape jelly on the table.

I love this place. Great coffee. I love that they roast it themselves and I love how clean they keep it. And the staff is friendly and great as is the owner. I can't wait to have the opportunity to work here. Simply superb and splendid. Can't wait to come back.

Absolutely love this place. People are great. Amazing coffee and tea options. My personal fav is their chai latte. I would like to say this that Chai latte I had here was one of the best I ever had. A go-to place to chill around.
