3 Best Cakes in Richmond, VA

Had the tiramisu cupcake and it was probably the best cupcake I have ever had. You guys should have that one every week.

We used Pearl’s for our wedding and had great service all the way through. We loved the experience from tasting to wedding day. We ended up doing a small cake for ourselves and cupcakes for our guests that were the same flavor and got rave reviews. We will note, the small cake has kept us filled with leftovers for a full week after. Shout out to Jacob for helping us throughout.

Pearl’s Bake Shop did an amazing job with our wedding cake. First of all, the cake was sooooo good, and I say that as someone who usually does not care about cake at all. We went with chocolate cake and everyone loved it. The cake itself was also gorgeous. It had this really elegant, romantic look with ruffles, edible pearls, and little frosting flowers, and it turned out exactly how I pictured it. They were also incredibly easy to work with throughout the entire process. We got to do multiple tastings, they were super accommodating when I kept changing details, and even a few weeks before the wedding when I decided to make the cake bigger and change the shape, they made everything easy and stress-free. Also, compared to a lot of wedding cake pricing, I felt like it was extremely reasonable for the quality and how beautiful it turned out. Highly recommend. FYI - we ended up placing the flowers on top! We originally planned to bring our own cake toppers to the venue but lost them so my MOH made due with what we had.

Cupcakes are moist and the butter cookie ice cream is amazing.
