SAN FERNANDO CATHEDRAL REVIEWS
We weren't able to see much of the inside of the cathedral because mass was in progress when we got there. We were able to see the resting place of the heroes of the Alamo just inside the entrance. The highlight was coming back at 9PM to see the light show on the exterior of the cathedral. This was truly impressive, the show lasted a little over 20 minutes and with lights, animations, and music told the story of San Antonio from prehistoric to modern times. The quality of the show was amazing and perfectly executed. This is a must see in San Antonio.
I visited San Antonio while attending ASTRO conference and took many pictures during this time. I thoroughly enjoyed spending some time reflecting on things and life in the Cathedral. It's beautiful and many people gather in the square in front of the church for various communal activities. Enjoy the pictures!
Although we didn't go inside, the outside is magnificent! We attended "The Saga" which is a lader light show shown on the front of the cathedral Friday & Saturday nights at 9pm and it too is very well done! There's a park across the street with limited seating and no bathrooms. But bathrooms are within walking distance at local eateries. Try and attend this for a once in a lifetime viewing.

Community Bible Church is a top-rated church in San Antonio that quickly outgrew its worship space on the weekends, leading to plans for a new sanctuary and children's building. In 2003 and 2004, the church launched a giving campaign for the new buildings, and construction on the worship center began in 2004, completed just in time for Christmas in 2005. The church encourages every individual to spread the good news of Jesus everywhere they go, and emphasizes building a community of believers, celebrating positive life changes, practicing generosity, and offering real hope. Community Bible Church provides guidance to its members and affiliated churches to maximize resources for the Kingdom in both the city and beyond.

COMMUNITY BIBLE CHURCH REVIEWS
Love this place! Truth and Mercy. The of the people and the presence of God strong! My husband loves the Mens Group and my teenage boys love the youth! We were just at Welcome Home and enjoyed a great night with the Pastors and great dinner too! Thank you Pastor Ed and family for obeying God and fulfilling HIS work.
This church is awesome!!! Going here changed my life in such a beautiful way. There's no other church I would attend. They welcome you with open arms and show the true meaning of what a community and pastor should look like. It's a big church; over a thousand people attend and you can come as you are. It's non denominational. Before service they sing songs and it feels concertlike. The pastor then does a "Bible study" and he relates it to life today. He helps you to understand the Bible better and the whole church community always lend helping hands. It's a beautiful church to go to and I don't think my description does it justice. If you're ever in the area, stop by and see for yourself.
Pastor Ed Newton is anointed and boldly teaching the word of GOD. He took time unrushed to meet Darrell and I on our first visit and shared beautiful words of encouragement. The energy is incredible. I also attend a Bible study group with some dynamic members of CBC. Friendly staff, welcoming environment, and most of all the spirit of the LORD is manifested.

MISSION CONCEPCIÓN REVIEWS
Highly Recommend! Always visit San Antonio but this time focused on learning more about the Missions. A little bit of a drive just outside of downtown you'll find Mission Concepción, a must visit. Although its is aging and crumbling it is still well preserved with a lot of detail and beauty just as it was build years ago. Plenty of parking available on site with sitting areas, restrooms and information stand. Trail leading off Mission provides for a nice stroll through some historical sites.
For history & architecture fans this is a great venue to add to your travel plans while in San Antonio. This Mission is one of four that are managed and secured by the National Park Service. Since we toured on a Sunday morning — we were able to walk inside the sanctuary after morning mass. Great photo ops for period photographers. Parking can be limited during prime times. National Park Service brochures are available that describe.
Lots of amazing history and very interesting facts about architecture and peoples. I would 10/10 recommend talking with the volunteers and tour guides while you visit. They have a lot of knowledge about the history that you will not read on the signs while walking around the grounds. After spending some time here your mind will begin to think and wander about life in the past and it is a very cool experience.
