Sue Sampson Dalena is the owner of the dance school, who has been the artistic director of this school for 43 years. She has attracted thousands of dancers from throughout the state of California, especially from the Central Valley. She has also served as a guest teacher for various institutions and workshops, such as Ballet Plus with Francisco Gella in Costa Rica and Pat Jackson's American Dance. Dance Studio of Fresno boasts a team of exceptional instructors who are passionate and dedicated. They offer an impressive array of 175 dance classes per week, with a staff of 35 instructors. The dance school's instructors prioritize building self-confidence and self-discipline in their students. They conduct more than 120 classes every week, including private lessons and team rehearsals, with nearly 1,000 pupils. Additionally, Dance Studio of Fresno produces annual dance shows to showcase new talent and promote the art and value of dance to the public.

2026 Update: Dance Studio of Fresno received the Top Private Studio/Conservatory Award from Dance Teacher Magazine in 2017 and has earned the YAGP Outstanding School Award and Top Ensemble Awards multiple times. In the summer, they provide a six-week session, as well as a range of dance camps and intensives, offering additional avenues for skill development and exploration."
