In addition to their caring staff and enriching activities, the location is absolutely beautiful — right near the ocean at 15 Whaleship Plaza in San Francisco. The peaceful waterfront setting creates such a calm and inspiring environment for children to learn and grow. Highly recommend to any parent looking for a safe, nurturing, and scenic place for their little ones!

The day care have been a great place for our kid. The day care have been adding music classes, yoga, story telling and many more for development of the kid. More than the ambience and schedules for kids, teachers in this day care have been really awesome and they give personal attention to each kid. The day care gives personal attention to each kid and provides regular updates on how the kid is doing everyday. There have been new activities like gardening, guitar and piano classes introduced. Really a great environment for the kid to be in and kid love to go day care everyday.

Veronica - the owner of Wonderful Children Day Care, is a kind and responsible person, but most important is that she loves kids and has a connection to everyone. Her team are experienced and caring teachers, they organize a variety of extra activities like yoga, dance classes. They are serving organic and healthy food. After a few weeks my 1.8 years old daughter started to sing English songs that they are singing during activities, but most important is that Veronica have taught her to fall asleep by herself in her own bed! During weekends she was sleeping in her own bed, that was such a relief. Our daughter is very allergic to dairy (FPIES acute to dairy) even traces of dairy could lead us to ER. We were trying to find a day care that would accept her. We were very lucky to find Veronica. She has a doctor degree and worked as a doctor in her homeland country. So everything we said about our daughter’s medical condition was familiar to her and I knew I can trust her.

Our daughter attended Sandmann transitioning from nanny to Day Care at 18 months. She loved it! She looked forward to going every morning and she made a lot of friends there. Owners and caretakers create a loving environment, plenty of indoor and outdoor activities, and very healthy food choices. We left the daycare only because we had to relocate. We truly recommend Sandmann!

As a college student, I worked part-time at Sandmann Daycare and had such an amazing experience being one of the teachers there. I taught German to the toddlers and enjoyed working at this daycare tremendously. Sandmann works hard to give each child individual attention and makes them feel at home. It was so nice going into work each day because of how happy the children were even when they had to say goodbye to their mommies and daddies each morning. The daycare always had a plan each day and we often did field trips to parks, libraries, and such to allow the kids to experience something new everyday. I highly recommend this daycare to any parents looking for one in San Francisco, and your child is in an environment where both English and German are being taught!

Our son attended Sandmann from 15 months until he transitioned to preschool at 3.5 years. I can't say enough positive things about the family who runs it and the staff they've hired. My son loved every single teacher he spent time with here and would come home every day talking about them. They became an extension of our family, especially navigating the pandemic together. I always felt so safe and content knowing he was coming here every day. They make amazing lunches and snacks for the kids, often getting my picky eater to eat things he wouldn't otherwise at home. This is such a great environment for kiddos, we will be sending our daughter once she's old enough!
