“Alabama Safety Institute, Inc. is a private nonprofit organization that provides creative practices and programs to law enforcement, the court system, citizens, and businesses to ensure the community’s public safety. Their ASI Driver Education Course is available in Level I (4 hour) and II (6 hour) programs that include education in the latest Alabama laws for both first time and repeat offenders. They provide education for DUI/drug offenders as well as juveniles/young adults from unacceptable behavior. The school affords educational programs within the court method that is creative and innovative. The office staff is highly experienced in coordinating with court officials and providing accurate information to clients.”

This should have been a miserable 4 hours of forced internment brought about for a minor traffic violation. Instead it was 4 hours of highly engaging and entertaining learning lead by the gregarious John Cousins. He immediately put the class at ease with his well-suited demeanor and kept the entire class involved and interested throughout. If you are going to be forced into driving school I highly recommend you do it here and with John. Top notch!

Class was a burden because of the waking up at 7a.m. on a Saturday morning. But that's that I get for speeding. Anyways it was chill for real. And the instructor let us out at 9 : 10 a.m. definitely worth the visit to keep it off your insurance.

The instructor was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and understanding. I recommend that you not get into trouble (like I did) so that you need them, but if you do, they will help.
