This store has been part of my family’s life for generations—my grandmother, my mother, and now me. I’ve been visiting since I was a child, and I am now in my 30s, I’m still in awe of everything this incredible marketplace has to offer. The experience is unmatched—authentic Scandinavian goods, beautiful crafts, and their legendary meat market, which is second to none. The lines that wrap outside the door and around the block during the holidays are a testament to their outstanding quality and the trust they’ve built in the community. The staff is just as remarkable—many of them have been there since I was a kid, and their dedication, knowledge, and friendliness make every visit feel special. If you’re in the Minneapolis area, a visit to Ingebretsen’s is an absolute must. This isn’t just a store; it’s a living piece of Scandinavian culture, and I can’t recommend it highly enough!

My first experience with Ingebretsen's Scandinavian Gifts. I ordered a music CD online. There was a glitch in my address, so I sent an email immediately after placing the order to clarify. They called me by phone directly on the day of the order to clarify. CD arrived promptly and in great condition. Of note, the price was significantly less than Amazon! I am more than pleased with my interactions with this lovely company.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend to anyone who longs for Minnesota's Scandinavian heritage or who otherwise would like to become more familiar with its food, customs, language and many other delights.

Oh, my new favorite gift shop. Let me tell you. I had to hold myself back from going overboard, but they have the cutest gifts. The staff was helpful soon as I waled through the door. The pics online does not serve as it would if you go in person. IT'S A MUST! I spent an hour just browsing, and I covered every corner. It's a YASSSS for me...oh and I I'll be back.

This is my favorite spot to get cute little gifts for birthdays. It has items at lots of different price points, and there's fun stuff for babies, kids, teens, and adults. There's quite a variety of things and they get new stuff all the time. None of it is super practical, it's all cute and novelty kids of things.
