"Dr. Richard Farnam is double board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (Urogynecology). He received his medical degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He did his residency training at the well-renowned Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Dr. Richard Farnam specializes in treating female pelvic medicine and robotic gynecologic surgery. He aims to offer high quality of care utilizing cutting-edge technology in a convenient setting that satisfies each patient's requirements. Dr. Richard Farnam has performed over 2,700 robotic procedures and is one of the well experienced surgeons in his specialty. In 2012, he established the first and only da Vinci® Robotic Epicenter for gynecologic surgery in the Southwest. He served as chairman and board member for AAGL committees. Dr. Richard Farnam serves as the director of the Texas Institute for Robotic Surgery at Las Palmas Medical Center in El Paso and chairman of the robotic surgery program. He has published on robotics in multiple peer-reviewed journals.
