This place is huge and great really for all members of the family. We brought our pup and he really enjoyed the creeks and there seemed to be a lot of folks there with dogs, newborns, kids...and more- all enjoying and socializing. I would suggest if you're going in the creeks to bring water-shoes and take your pup in a creek. Bring water to drink too, we couldn't seem to find any water fountains or dog fountains anywhere and you'll get exhausted on these trails. Cool place

By far best spot in town for a hike, that I've found so far. It's hard to believe that a perfect little oasis like this is smack dab in the middle of town. I saw wildlife drinking by the creek, horseback riding, there's trails of all sorts to walk on, picnic areas. Would recommend this for couples, families , friends or simply a walk on your own with your dog. Love this spot!!

Chatfield is a nice, open State Park. Because it's a state park, there is a fee for admission, but I found it to be reasonable. There are a lot of places to walk around and a lot to do in the park. There is a huge dog park that costs a small amount more, but is great for giving your pet a fun time. There is the reservoir for boating/swimming. There are plenty of trails and sites to enjoy picnics, etc. On the East side of the park there is an area to fly model planes which is fun to watch. I reco
