"Cherry Creek State Park has a total of 4,000 acres, and the new campground is open all year. A scenic oasis in the Denver area, providing outdoor enthusiasts a wide range of water and land activities. It offers a place to learn about nature and a place to take a picnic with your kids. The 133 campsites in the park provide comfortable year-round, full hook-up, and easy camping for visitors. The park offers a fun spot for a family getaway to enjoy. Visitors in the park can find shade tents, picnic tables, and grills. It provides the comfort of close-in camping at its 125 sites situated on the reservoir's east side. Park can provide winter outdoor enthusiasts with unique experiences with ice fishing and cross-country skiing, as conditions allow. There are three loops available for camping groups."

You can take it in at the newly elevated overlook, an open-air platform that offers the park's ideal view. Tourists can access the Sand Creek Greenway trailhead, suitable for hiking, biking, or going out and exploring the sights of Colorado. The trail is a mile-to-point, moderately trafficked trail past Aurora."

"Star K Ranch is an open area of 240 acres, situated in Aurora. There are 3.5 miles of soft-surface trails that link to the Sand Creek Greenway Trail Network and are home to many native and species of plants. You can enjoy birding, or display their seasonally changing displays on wild plants and animal life. It has a good walking time of over 10 miles. There are significant events at the nature center, and the free Thursday morning class and walk are fun."
