A breath of fresh air! We loved this park and it was the perfect day to visit. There was not a lot of people here, a quiet place to unwind and soak in some beautiful Oregon views. Hike the hill to the right when you enter the park. It's steep, but worth it! Careful on the way up, it can be slick after a rain. There are lots of trail to cut through the woods, all well maintained and easy to find you way. We loved the open field, spectacular views! Great place for kids. Bring a picnic and some lawn games and you've got a whole day of outdoor fun!
This is a fun park to take the kids for a quick hike. The loop is a steep one or two mile hike. There is plenty of parking and lots of horse pastures around the trailhead. There is a little area for picnic with a picnic table available. There's no public restroom at this park however. This part provides an easy hike that is close to town and fun for all ages.
Found this great park a few years ago and it was closed. So I actually got to see it today and it was beautiful. Dog friendly and had a picnic area and even a rest room. My favorite was all the walking/hiking trails.
