Such a beautiful park close to downtown Savannah. The famous arched trees with the long driveway is such a gorgeous site to see. There is a small fee to enter the park - this is at the front entrance before you drive down the long path. There is a small gift shop at the end and a few trails to walk along. This is a great stop of you have dogs to take out and wander around as well. Bring water and a picnic for a lovely day roaming the trails - also bring bug spray during those warm months.
What a beautiful park to visit. The entrance with the long road adorned with mature oak trees touching each other is magnificent. We followed the trails, visited the museum and colonial areas. A must see if you like nature and long walks on trails. Lots of birds and small animals to see. Wonderful sounds all around you.
You can park your Bobtail in bus parking. I parked my T680 safe with easy access and egress. A great, fantastic, relaxing place to visit during your 34 hour. The trails are well groomed, the Live Oak Trees are breathtaking, there are picnic tables for your lunch. Bring water, bottle water is stinking expensive.
