"Francis Marion Hotel is located across from Marion Square. It's a 15-minute walk from the South Carolina Aquarium and the historic City Market. The hotel is also located near the King Street shopping district. Flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, and coffeemakers are provided in the traditionally decorated rooms. Suites provide separate living areas; some include harbor views and/or kitchens. Breakfast (for a fee) is served in-room or in a Southern-style restaurant/bar with live jazz music on a regular basis. FRANCIS MARION HOTEL REVIEWS

We absolutely loved our stay this past weekend. The texting feature before check-in was very convenient as they asked the time of arrival to assure our room was ready - which it was. Staff was very friendly! The rooms are very nice. Bathroom is small, but considering this hotel was built in the early 1900s, I appreciate the fact they’re preserving the history of this place. Beds were super comfy and the room was very clean. Location was perfect as well. Highly recommend.

Everything was wonderful! We had the opportunity to stay in the presidential suite and it was phenomenal! Views, beds, towels, toiletries, everything was top of the line and so pretty to look at. The staff were so helpful and prompt and we felt so pampered and taken care of. It was so nice to stay in such a historic hotel and it was so convenient to anywhere we wanted to go! Will absolutely be coming back again.

Great Hotel, should have free continental breakfast for the price. Very expensive on site parking! Very friendly staff...clean and love the fresh fruit infused water in lobby. On room coffee is awful. Starbucks is in the lobby, forcing you to go there...we chose coffee down the street, loads of options.

MILLS HOUSE CHARLESTON, CURIO COLLECTION BY HILTON REVIEWS

Other than requesting a room change and was told by someone in management it would make their life hard ( I am fine it the room could not be changed, the reason why was not customer centric in my opinion), and asking for a small table for our balcony room, and was told no, although other balcony rooms had tables, we had a great stay. Aldean was so nice at the hotel pool, and Mark at the pool bar, were engaging, helpful and friendly. Definitely their service was top notch.

Mills House was a really nice, smaller Hilton hotel. The room was small (but we expected that) but very clean and well appointed. The hotel is older but the accommodations are all updated. The location can't be beat. You can walk to everything in historic downtown ... many great restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Pool area and outdoor seating with fireplace were really nice, too. We had a great stay at Mills House and would highly recommend.

The location and charm of the Mills House speak for itself. The true hidden gem is the staff; they are fantastic. From the front desk to the Black Door cafe to the meetings/events team, our experience was wonderful. We had colleagues in from all over the country and they left town loving Charleston just a little bit more than when they arrived. Thank you.

BEST WESTERN CHARLESTON INN REVIEWS

We had to get a room very late at night in a semi urgent situation. I experienced the best customer service I have encountered in a long time. Sammy (night manager), thank you so much again. You have no idea how much you helped with your professional, calm, and caring demeanor. Excellent customer service again at check out with Tirzah. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet, with no odor even though it was a pet friendly room. The only issue is the room was a little dim. If ever in the area again, I would definitely stay here.

This place had the cheapest rates I found for the area so we didnt expect much. It turned out to be a great place to stay with our pup. Basic room, AC could've been better but everything else was perfect. Great breakfast choices. Easy/convenient areas to take pup to the bathroom. I will stay here again.

This spotless and beautiful motel is where I always stay in Charleston. Breakfast is very good and the staff is fantastic. The lush plantings are remarkable. I highly recommend this place.
