We absolutely loved our stay this past weekend. The texting feature before check-in was very convenient as they asked the time of arrival to assure our room was ready - which it was. Staff was very friendly! The rooms are very nice. Bathroom is small, but considering this hotel was built in the early 1900s, I appreciate the fact they’re preserving the history of this place. Beds were super comfy and the room was very clean. Location was perfect as well. Highly recommend.

Everything was wonderful! We had the opportunity to stay in the presidential suite and it was phenomenal! Views, beds, towels, toiletries, everything was top of the line and so pretty to look at. The staff were so helpful and prompt and we felt so pampered and taken care of. It was so nice to stay in such a historic hotel and it was so convenient to anywhere we wanted to go! Will absolutely be coming back again!

Great Hotel, should have free continental breakfast for the price. Very expensive on site parking! Very friendly staff...clean and love the fresh fruit infused water in lobby. On room coffee is awful. Starbucks is in the lobby, forcing you to go there...we chose coffee down the street, loads of options.

We had to get a room very late at night in a semi urgent situation. I experienced the best customer service I have encountered in a long time. Sammy (night manager), thank you so much again. You have no idea how much you helped with your professional, calm, and caring demeanor. Excellent customer service again at check out with Tirzah. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet, with no odor even though it was a pet friendly room. The only issue is the room was a little dim. If ever in the area again, I would definitely stay here.

This place had the cheapest rates I found for the area so we didnt expect much. It turned out to be a great place to stay with our pup. Basic room, AC could've been better but everything else was perfect. Great breakfast choices. Easy/convenient areas to take pup to the bathroom. I will stay here again.

This spotless and beautiful motel is where I always stay in Charleston. Breakfast is very good and the staff is fantastic. The lush plantings are remarkable. I highly recommend this place.

HAMPTON INN CHARLESTON-HISTORIC DISTRICT REVIEWS

Stayed here Thanksgiving weekend 2024. The hotel was wonderful!! We had a large suite on the 5th floor which is the top floor with great views overlooking the pool and downtown. The lobby is very spacious with beautiful original hardwood floors and dark leather furniture facing the fireplace. It was warm and inviting. Hot coffee and hot chocolate 24 hrs a day. For breakfast the strawberry waffles are very good. The location of this hotel is perfect! We walked everywhere every day and felt very safe even at night. There were plenty of nice restaurants close by. Would highly recommend this hotel. Looking forward to going back in the spring sometime to relax on the nice patio area with all the pretty trees in full bloom.

Stayed here a few times before. Location is awesome. Came this past weekend on a trip to the area. Had a pickup truck that wouldn’t fit into the parking deck (too tall). Ashley the manager found us a solution! Awesome help and customer service. Everyone in the hotel, including the cleaning staff is always so friendly and helpful! And Hamptons have the best beds!!

This hotel is in a great location. It’s very clean and the staff is wonderful. I think it’s nice and quiet. I do think, for the room price per night, it could use a little updating. It doesn’t have a refrigerator or safe.
