PONDICHERI REVIEWS
All around amazing dining experience. I am not a picky eater and I have no food allergies. It was a first time trying this particular type of salad and a Lamb Burger. Recommended by a new friend I made here in Houston and I will definitely be revisiting. Mildly busy in the evening but the waiter made sure to meet our needs and expectations in a timely manner. Very attentive and professional. I would recommend this restaurant to any group size of adults or even a solo outing. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did.
The first thing I would like to point out is that people posting all these negative reviews have no clue what they are talking about. I have worked in restaurants and visit plenty of restaurants on a routine basis. It’s one of my top suggestions for people to try Indian food at its best. Look at those beautiful colors and those delicious ingredients. The food tastes better than it looks. Unlike other restaurants, I don’t leave feeling like garbage because the food here is made with high quality ingredients. If I were to open a restaurant, I would take Pondicheri as an inspiration, unlike others in this area that consider themselves pioneers in Indian cooking while all they are doing is recycling the same old garbage.
The place was unique. Loved the atmosphere. Our waiter tried to meet all my dietary restrictions and was very kind. Food was fresh and flavorful. My husband had the sayel lamb and I had shrimp kebabs with a gluten free naan that was absolutely delicious. We ordered hot herbal tea that were soothing and delicious and made with fresh herbs.

KIRAN'S REVIEWS
We absolutely adore this place! Our monthly visits are a highlight, thanks to Maria's incredible hospitality and service and her delightful daughter's warm welcome as hostess. While all the staff members are fantastic, Maria holds a special place in our hearts from previous dining experiences. The cuisine here is truly unparalleled, surpassing even our experiences in India. For me, the JAHANGIR Lassi (spiked Lassi) steals the show – a delightful blend of rum, passion fruit, mango, topped with shaved pistachios. Each samosa is a culinary masterpiece, showcasing unique flavors and my faves are the mushroom and feta, and potato and nuts. My folks swear by the lamb shank but I still always get the Chicken Tikka Masala it's so great. Lastly, their sinfully delicious desserts are all incredible.
Kiran's offers a sophisticated yet welcoming ambiance, where you'll find a mix of casually dressed patrons and those sporting Kentucky Derby-worthy attire. The fusion of Indian and British elements creates a unique and memorable atmosphere. The tea selection is outstanding, with Darjeeling and Masala tea standing out as top choices. The real highlight, however, lies in the delectable afternoon treats that boast an Indian twist. From the flavorful bites to the delightful sweets, these unique creations truly make the experience at Kiran's unforgettable. Whether you're a tea enthusiast or a food lover seeking a distinct fusion of flavors, Kiran's is a must-visit destination.
Superb service, atmosphere, and food. I ordered the Lamb Vindaloo, rice, garlic nan, and a side of mint chutney. The vindaloo was perfectly spicy with flavor elements that delighted my taste buds with each bite. It was absolutely delicious! Also, the Mint Chutney was the creamiest chutney I have ever eaten. Kiran’s offers fantastic food and a truly elegant experience.

TARKA INDIAN KITCHEN REVIEWS
We have vegans, vegetarians, and full-on meat eaters in our family. Going to Tarka gives everyone in our group plenty of delicious options. Service is friendly and fast, and the food is always delicious and inexpensive. I wish I lived closer, but it's a treat to stop when I'm in the Heights to enjoy something wonderful that I can't find in my own neighborhood.
We love this place. The food is delicious and staff are super friendly. You also can get point over time for free appetizers, etc. once we ordered medium spicy and it turned out too hot for us, they came and very nicely replaced our food with milk spicy. Super nice! Definitely recommend here.
Food is amazing and service was great! The chicken Tikka masala is so flavorful. I got hot and it was spicy enough. Love it. I would definitely comeback for a different dish.
