THE PIT ROOM REVIEWS
A couple of coworkers & I go out to eat each week & this BBQ restaurant was this week’s destination. The atmosphere has a good feel to it. The layout is well thought out & there’s a nice patio area when you want to sit outside to enjoy the weather. It’s very clean & the staff are very friendly & welcoming. I wasn’t a fan of the main attraction, the BBQ. A little to much fat on the brisket for my liking. And the make or break it item, the BBQ sauce, has a kinda tangy-like taste to it. People love this place & to each his own, but it’s not for me.
From the smells to the atmosphere everything about The Pit Room is great. I had the three meat platter, the first slice of brisket was a bit dry and every slice after that was tender, juicy and flavorful. The rub and sauces were great, and I definitely recommend the corn and pickled jalapenos. If you like BBQ you'll like it here.
Chef's kiss delicious!!! Everything we had was great . The chicken was juicy. The BBQ sauce has a great taste.. It's not too sweet, but it's just perfect ... Potato salad has the perfect combination of flavors... This is the spot ...

PINKERTON'S BARBECUE REVIEWS
As someone who’s tried a lot of mediocre BBQ in Texas, I can confidently say that Pinkerton’s in the Heights is serving some of the best quality brisket in the Houston area! It is juicy, tender, and smoked to perfection, with a good mix of fatty and lean meat. Their jalapeño beef sausages, potato salad, and beans are also very good and worth trying. Will definitely be back.
Everything we tried was tasty, but we really loved the Thick + Hearty Brisket Sandwich and the Bananas Foster Pudding! The parking lot is on the smaller side and was a bit busy. Visiting for lunch on the weekend we were lucky to quickly get a parking spot, the line to order food also moved quickly, and we chose to sit outside where there was plenty of available picnic tables.
Great atmosphere, fabulous people/service. The food was excellent, but I am partial to potato salad with a touch less mustard, and baked beans with a touch more tang, and sweetness. I know I know... Not a Texas thing. Thanks y'all, we'll be back for sure!.

RAYS REAL PIT BBQ SHACK REVIEWS
Wow, the food was so good. Had the ribs, brisket, peach cobbler. Brisket was so tender, ribs fall off the bone, peach cobbler icing on the cake. Would def go back there.
Had the 4 meat plate. Maxed it out added fried catfish and shrimp. The catfish and shrimp were very good . Bbq meats were good, I was expecting brown sugar smoked ribs. Overall it was good.
Absolutely delicious food and service were both spectacular. Restaurant was very clean if I ever find myself in Houston again I will definitely go back.
