We ordered the hazelnut tantanmen and it was amazing. Definitely one of the best ramen I have ever had. The only downside is that there is no tofu or anything but the taste makes up for it. The overall vibe is also super nice, highly recommend!!!.

My friend and I went to the Halluci Nation concert a couple blocks away and before the concert we wanted to get some food and drinks. The server was Truly awesome! And the food was great. My friend had the guava sour and loved it enough to have 3!!.

Delicious! We loved our drinks, takowasa, and ramens. Restaurant is chíc and nice open kitchen view.

Very nice and creative foods with pretty reasonable prices for what you get. The wait takes awhile though, and the people eating with me said the ramen was all right but not fantastic. I tried it and thought it 2as quite nice though, a bit more mild (or not as salty maybe) as some of the ones I tried in Japan, but great flavor all the same, but everyone has different things they like. The sunomono salad was great though and the pork cheek too! The tsukemen was my favorite try it while you can!.

My favorite Japanese restaurant in SE Portland. Lots of delicious options at a great place. During happy hour you can try their different type of ramen, plus their salmon onigiri is on point. Whenever someone asks me for a good Japanese place, I tell them about this place. I definitely would have it every day if I could.

Delicious food and great atmosphere. I will defiantly eat her again given the chance. Wait staff was amazing and food was made perfectly. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

SHO JAPANESE RESTAURANT REVIEWS

Wow! Excellent sushi and love the interior vibe which is light woods and recently remodeled. Do not be fooled by the exterior. Worth the drive as it’s in SW Portland. We started with miso and then shared the sashimi and two rolls. My favorite was the Hanabi roll and my daughter loved the King Dragon roll which was surprisingly a bit spicy. Look forward to returning.

Delicious, authentic Japanese food and friendly staff. Tastes like you are in Japan and tastes like my mom's authentic Japanese food she used to make growing up. I ordered the lunch bento with assorted tempura and pork katsu. It was delicious! My son ordered the kids ramen and enjoyed it. I highly recommend this local Japanese restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

After a remodel, this place has become more upscale. Yet the food is consistently good. It’s close by and an easy place to go without reservations. You can either sit at the sushi bar or TV monitor. They also have tables with high backs that allow lots of privacy. The udon and Ramen are always tasty. Sushi is good and a popular favorite.
