Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge is a 3,000-feet-long pedestrian bridge that spans the Missouri River and offers a stunning view of Omaha's skyline and surroundings. The bridge is an S-curved cable-stayed structure that has a striking, modern design, perfect for a midday stroll or a refreshing nighttime walk. Visitors can bask in an elevated and almost airborne view while also enjoying the immersive water jet pool located within the 3-acre Omaha Plaza. The bridge also provides access to the visitors' center of the National Park Service. More than 150 kilometers of nature trails are linked to the bridge, offering opportunities for tourists to take strolls or bike rides. Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge offers great views of the Omaha skyline, overlooking the Qwest Center, Gallup University, and Lewis & Clark Landing. During the summer months, visitors can also catch live music performances on Fridays in the Plaza area, which is fitted with a large grass-like amphitheater seating.

The Mormon Trail Center at Winter Quarters showcases the westward migration of Latter-day Saints. The site is located on the historic location of Winter Quarters, a temporary settlement on the Mormon Trail. The visitor center and museum at the Mormon Trail Center at Winter Quarters portray the experiences of 90,000 settlers traveling to the Rocky Mountains from 1846 to 1860. The exhibits also explore the removal from Nauvoo, migration through Iowa, and temporary settlements in the central Missouri Valley during winter. The Center offers free entry and is filled with historical exhibits that vividly tell the story of the daunting exodus of the settlers. The Mormon Trail Center at Winter Quarters also conducts periodic art and cultural exhibitions in a large room.
