THE DURHAM MUSEUM REVIEWS

I don’t consider myself as a museum lover, but the Durham museum has changed my thoughts about visiting museums in the future. We visited during Christmas Eve, and the place is so lovely, full of activities and fascinating information. Tons of activities for kids and adults. We ended up visiting the soda fountain, they have several options to choose from and staff were friendly. The lady at the entrance was so helpful and knowledgeable about the Christmas tree inside the building. I ordered the birthday malt and it was a great experience! Will consider to visit in the future for different exhibits.

I've never been at Christmas time and it is so worth seeing the beautiful Christmas tree. The museum is full of so much to learn and walking through the train makes you feel like a passenger. Carol at the ticket counter is fabulous. Very informative and Nebraska nice. She even took our picture by the tree before we left. She had us stand in the perfect spot to capture the trip beautifully. We enjoyed a chocolate malt before we left and the young ladies that took our order were very nice as well.

Incredible museum. Must go to if in Omaha. Very informative of the history of the region, history of Native Americans, history and knowledge of modern day Omaha as well. Very family friendly. Clean bathrooms. Christmas time decorations are beautiful.

MUSEUM OF SHADOWS REVIEWS

Went for a late night Valentine’s date with my husband last Saturday and had a great time !! We we were the last two people there!!! Keith (hope I’m spelling it correctly) was amazing , shared so much of his own experiences and facts about the items in the museum definitely made it feel like we were having a personal tour !! The young lady working the counter was also super helpful telling us about different tools we can try/how to use them and getting us checked in ! Super friendly atmosphere !! We will definitely be back hopefully next for an over night !!!

The entry fee was steep for the relatively small museum. However, I had a great time! A lot of people dislike the darkness, but it makes your visit feel like an adventure and really suits the spooky vibe. I was genuinely not expecting to be scared, but I couldn't go into the basement alone! Super fun, would definitely recommend if you don't mind the high entry fee.

Our experience was so so interesting and worth the entry fee. Thank you to the entire team for protecting these artifacts and caring so much! Keith was very knowledgeable and made our experience even better.

GREAT PLAINS BLACK HISTORY MUSEUM REVIEWS

I was extremely impressed with my visit to the Great Plains Black History Museum. Eric Ewing was the host of the tour and was very knowledgeable about the history of African Americans associated in the Great Plains area. Furthermore, I learned about African American history that was never told to me in my 52+ years. Moreover, Eric kept me engaged the whole duration of the tour. I promise you will not be disappointed.

So knowledgeable! A fantastic, informative experience. Lovely people who are passionate about black history! I learned so much with a lovely tour guide who spoke so passionately about the often glossed over reality of African Americans in Omaha and nationally. A lovely story of hate to hope. The experience was priceless.

We had a really great experience here. It was informative and loved the different exhibits. Learned things about local history I had never been taught and should have been. We plan on returning and bringing along more people. Everyone should check this out !
