"Casa Rio offers classic Tex-Mex fare, margaritas and outdoor dining options. The restaurant is located in the Tower Life Building. The restaurant is led by Alfred F. Beyer. The restaurant has a cedar door and window lintels, a fireplace, and thick rock walls, which are still evident inside the building. The El Sombrero plate includes a crispy beef taco, a bean and cheese chalupa, a beef enchilada, refried beans, and rice. The Rio Room, capable of seating up to 66 guests or accommodating up to 75 guests for a standing cocktail reception, is an excellent choice for hosting events. Casa Rio operates as a large restaurant with multiple levels. They seat everyone on a first-come, first-served basis.

Mi Tierra is such a vibrant and culturally rich experience — the atmosphere alone is worth the visit! The bakery and desserts were absolutely fantastic, showcasing the best of traditional Mexican pastries. We came during Fiesta, so it was understandably packed and the food, while good, felt a bit rushed and just okay compared to everything else. That said, the service was excellent and friendly despite the busy crowd. Definitely worth checking out, especially for the ambiance and sweets.

I haven't been here since 2010. I am visiting family here, and I wanted to go back. I loved it! It's beautiful and has a happy feeling inside. Antonio was our server, and he was wonderful. He made great recommendations, and we weren't disappointed. My cheese enchiladas were perfect, and they make their flour tortillas there. We will be back soon.

What a fantastic experience. The ambience alone is worth visiting this place. With Mariachis singing at your table and enormous margheritas, we enjoyed some delicious Tex Mex food. We also shopped at the pastry shop and everything we tried was great.

The food was delicious. I was surprised how little we had to wait. We were told it would take about forty five minutes but only took about ten minutes. There is both outdoor and indoor seating. It was also happy and festive being there around St Patrick’s Day and the water being dyed a bright green. If you are in town go to the river walk and definitely eat at this restaurant.

A beautiful experience! The food was average Tex Mex but delicious overall. The view, ambience and service were not disappointing. Def worth going to on the riverwalk, will be visiting again.

This restaurant separates itself from the rest on the riverwalk as a great spot to find some historic Mexican style food. The location is great to sit and watch boats pass by, and it's a nice spot to enjoy the people passing by on the Riverwalk. The food is great, the servers are quick, and they band that roams the inside and outside of the restaurant are great.

Great Mexican spot in downtown San Antonio! Our whole family really enjoyed the décor, the food, and the friendly service. I had the carne asada plate, and it was outstanding—especially with the chimichurri sauce that added a unique twist to a classic Mexican dish. My wife ordered the albondigas and liked it, but after trying my plate, she was ready to trade! Overall, we had a great experience and loved the vibe. I’m definitely looking forward to going back and trying something new.

This place is amazing!! We went on a Sunday around like 7. There was a LONG waitlist checking in online for 2. It was about an hour and a half. But we were okay with waiting. The vibes in here were great. The food was amazing overall. I would definitely come here again. Prices are reasonable too!!.

We came here with a huge work group. The waiter that served us was fantastic. He was constantly making sure we all had what we needed and that the drinks were flowing and we were good. We really appreciated that. The food was immaculate! I was so full! I would highly recommend coming here for an amazing time!!.
