ANDALUZ WATERBIRTH CENTER REVIEWS
I had all three of my children here and cannot recommend the team and location here enough. I have always felt so well supported and cared for by the midwives here, and felt less like a number to check off the list and more like a real person who was seen and heard by my midwives. Outside of the wonderful midwives and admin staff Andaluz just was a comfortable place to give birth. The rooms are all comfortable and welcoming, and you don’t have all the interruptions and noises that you would in a hospital. I always appreciate that the midwives attending my birth are ones I know well and that whomever you speak to when you start labor/arrive is the one who stays with you until the baby is born. No shift changes or unfamiliar faces. All in all, if you are experiencing a healthy pregnancy and able to consider an out of hospital birth you should try Andaluz.
Wow. I honestly cannot say enough good things about the staff at Andaluz and about the care given. I genuinely feel like the staff is extended family at this point. I went there for prenatal care and they were fantastic, I had the peaceful and empowering water birth I was hoping and preparing for, and the postpartum care with my baby girl has been phenomenal. I am sad to be 6 weeks postpartum and therefore ending my time there! I highly recommend Andaluz to anyone who wants a much more personal, warm, and comforting care than what I have ever experienced in a hospital setting. Choosing a birthing center is one of the best decisions I have ever made.
Andaluz is a sanctuary that allowed me to head into my natural childbirth experience feeling safe, loved, and supported. The entire staff helped me establish a deep sense of trust in myself through their words of encouragement, overall calm demeanor, and the classes and information during appointments that they provided. Although I ended up having to be transferred to the hospital after my baby was born, I have nothing but good things to say about this center and every person who works there. The space they held for me both prenatally and during my postpartum period is unmatched, and is nothing like anything you could expect from a typical OBGYN. I feel that the staff at Andaluz are not only service providers, but a community of close friends that I'm excited to be part of again for future babes. I miss everyone there dearly!

ALMA MIDWIFERY REVIEWS
We had our 2nd child at Alma and I was blown away by there service. The personal touch and experience that they provide was amazing nothing compared to the traumatic experience we went through with our 1st child. I wish all soon to be parents that lived in portland new about Alma. It's safe to say that if we have another child which we are planning on to in the next few years we will be coming back. Thank you again Laura, Janelle and Jodi for all your support and guidance we appreciate you and we can't thank you enough for everything that you've done, baby Matteo was in great hands.
Alma is incredible! There’s nothing I would change about my birth experience here. The midwives are amazing, offering years of wisdom and experience but also deep emotional connection. They made themselves available at all hours for questions, it was super accessible and personalized care. I love Alma!! Go to them!!
I'm so grateful I got to experience our birth with Alma! Laura and Janelle's deep maternal spirits were so gentle and welcomed as I entered motherhood for the first time. Long form appointments with empathetic providers in my opinion are a must for pregnancy and Alma certainly has the same beliefs in their care model.

HEARTH AND HOME MIDWIFERY REVIEWS
We recently graduated from care with Hearth and Home. Like all other reviews, we were thoroughly satisfied with their care. Sarah, Emily and Charli provided an outstanding level of care and compassion that left us in awe! I knew I didn’t want to have a hospital birth or even be “cared” for by an OB unless absolutely medically necessary. We are so glad Hearth and Home exists and we chose to work with them from the very beginning. The midwives give you a lot of respect with informed choice and are very receptive to your thoughts and ideas. Sarah and Emily attended my birth and were a huge help when needed but allowed me to labor with my husband unbothered. They all checked on us afterwards and Sarah helped me work through a very big challenge in my recovery. She was attentive, supportive, and very empowering making sure I knew I could get through this challenge. My husband was very weary of a home birth in the beginning, but now couldn’t imagine it any other way. We highly recommend home birth to all of our friends and family expecting babies. It is hard work, but we are made for this! ???????? Saying goodbye (for now) to these ladies at our last appointment was bittersweet but we look forward to working with them again for baby #2.
I could not be more thankful to have Hearth and Home and my midwives! All three of them were so amazing and made my first Home birth experience so special. Throughout my pregnancy I was traveling a lot and I really appreciated their willingness to still take me on and do video chats as much as possible. I felt very relaxed comfortable with them and felt like they gave me all the best information and suggestions for my birth. I never felt forced into a decision I didn’t want to make and that means a lot! My home birth got really hard at the end with a shoulder distocia and Charlie very calmly walked me through it, told me what to do and got my baby out with-ought any damage to her shoulder. Because of them I never panicked, and it confirmed even more so my choice in picking them for my care! I definitely recommend Hearth and Home to anyone looking for their best pregnancy and birth journey:)
When my partner and I decided to seek out a home birth and transitioned our prenatal care to Hearth and Home, we were both blown away by the level of treatment we received. I didn’t start seeing these midwives until well into my second trimester, and thought we had decent providers at the hospital, until my first visit with HandH. Their dedication to the health and wellbeing of my baby and I was profound. It was such great care that never wanted to leave my visits. That dedication and love continued through our birth and into our postnatal care. I’m eternally grateful to of had these women be part of our birth and would recommend them to anyone, without hesitation. If we have another baby, I can only hope to work with them again. I was a bit scared at the thought of having a home birth (I had epidurals with my first two) but Charli, Sarah & Emily were so knowledgeable, professional and compassionate that by the time I delivered my daughter I felt prepared and had complete trust in my midwives. They were very clear about their ongoing risk assessment that takes place throughout pregnancy, labor and delivery to ensure a home birth was a safe option. Though we were planning for a home birth we were fully aware from the beginning that if we experienced certain complications that made a home birth an unsafe option we might have to have a hospital delivery. The midwives did a great job of walking us through a typical home birth and what to expect in the unlikely event that something did go wrong. The care these ladies provided was phenomenal and I’m so sad that we’ve graduated out of their care. They made me feel seen and heard, my appointments were never rushed, and they made sure all my questions were answered.
