B&O RAILROAD MUSEUM REVIEWS

This museum has an amazing array of trains. They were displayed well in an organized logical fashion in the beautiful round house. There was a very interesting variety of trains outside in the yard and in the maintenance building. The explanations were concise and comprehensive. It was fun to be able to go into some of the trains. The model train sets, history of the underground, and play areas for kids make this an amazing display of the history of trains. I very highly recommend this museum for anyone, train buff or not.

My son is an adult with autism. He loves trains. He'd been excited for a month for our trip. He was is heaven seeing all of the incredible trains. All the employees were very kind and very informative. This is an incredible place to go. Highly recommend it.

What tremendous fun! I particularly appreciated the Underground Railroad exhibit. It was beautifully done. Riding the train was a lovely little exercise in history, and getting to explore the space was fantastic.

BALTIMORE MUSEUM OF INDUSTRY REVIEWS

A great place to explore while visiting Baltimore and learn the history of several industrial and manufacturing innovations. Tickets are priced well and it was easy to order one online. I came on a week day (though a federal holiday) in the afternoon and while there were several other people there, it was not crowded. I opted for the self-guided audio tour which was nice to stay at my own pace. I would love to come back again.

This is definitely a must-see in Baltimore. It listed the history and industry of Baltimore, showing how those things worked back in the old days. And this is a very great location to take pictures over the water. If you want to know and feel the history of Baltimore and the country, this is the place!

Many things to read and learn. Free audio tour adds really nice insight into what you're seeing. Staff is helpful and will answer questions about the exhibit. I recommend for adults.

We had a great experience visiting the Lewis Museum. The exhibits are thoughtful and very educational. There is a rich history of black Americans in Maryland and it is well showcased here. We also really enjoyed the modern art exhibit! The museum is wheelchair accessible and child friendly with a change table in the first floor women’s bathroom (unsure about the men’s). The staff was friendly and the museum is well kept. I highly recommend a visit to The Lewis Museum.

This is a wonderful black history museum that centers on the culture in Maryland as well as the plight of black Americans in the South. The second floor of the museum has a section that is dedicated to the achievements of Mr. Lewis as a great black American businessman. It’s worth a visit if you’re in the area.

I went for a special occasion but definitely a place to visit to hear our untold stories that we don't learn about in schools. Will be a repeat place that I visit.
