3 Best Museums in Houston, TX

We loved this museum! Many times, the highlight of a museum is one of their special exhibits but not so with the Houston Museum of Natural Science. The regular exhibits were every bit as interesting as their special ones. We bought extra admittance to the Terracotta Warriors and King Tut's Tomb. They were worth it! The Terracotta Warriors and artifacts displays was amazing. I learned a lot about the sculpting and the excavating of these incredible statues. King Tut's Tomb did not disappoint. The dinosaur skeletons, huge collection of shells, the Americas, and the Egyptians are a few of the areas worth exploring. The Morian Cabinet of Curiosities was pretty special. An especially fun area was the science room with lots of hands-on experiments; it was fun for all ages. This museum is fantastic.

I love all museums, but this one holds a special place in my heart. My mom used to take my brother and me here when we were kids, and we would watch the pendulum for what felt like hours! I recently got to take my girlfriend here for a date, and it was amazing. We got tickets to the Terracotta Warriors exhibit, which was very interesting and fun to walk through! We also really enjoyed the Faberge Egg exhibit. I suggest parking in Parking Lot C next to the McGovern Centennial Gardens and walking through them on your way to the museum. It's a beautiful walk, and allows you to see all the beauty that Houston has to offer! I'll always keep coming back to this museum, and I recommend others come and check it out. (It can be a little expensive, but I feel like it's worth the number of exhibits and cool stuff you can see!)

The museum isn’t extremely large, but it’s packed with fascinating exhibits and offers a very fulfilling experience. The interactive sections are well designed and engaging, making it enjoyable for visitors of all ages.The mummy exhibit was especially impressive both educational and visually striking. I also loved the sections about space, ocean life, and dinosaurs; each one was full of detail and excitement. The video presentations and multimedia displays were excellent as well, adding great depth to the overall experience.Overall, it’s a wonderfully curated museum that combines science, history, and creativity in a very inspiring way. Definitely worth a visit!
