The Center utilizes LessonMate, an innovative program that allows students to receive video demonstrations and lesson information to review between their scheduled lesson times. In addition, the music school offers private and group lessons taught by experienced, skilled, and dedicated teachers who hold music performance degrees or music education degrees. They provide free LessonMate accounts to all their enrolled music students. Additionally, the students can showcase their talents in three formal recitals held each year in December, May, and July on the studio's Center Stage. They are very skilled in advanced performance techniques, while others are experts with young beginners. The music studio has been running for more than 23 years. David McCormick is the owner of the music school. The music school individualizes every lesson to each student's interests. Over 200 pupils enjoy learning here. They have fun and play their favorite tunes from the beginning of music lessons. Alaska School of Music is also located in Eagle River. The academy offers gift cards. Lessons are typically for a half hour once a week.”

Hey! I’m a past student that was taking private lessons with Chris Hawk back in 2023 from March to August. I just wanted to say he is an amazing teacher. I went in just wanting to test it out for a new hobby and he broke it down for me easily. I’ve never done singing lessons or choir in school beforehand so going in completely fresh and him explaining it made it fun. I’m no longer a student as I’m out of state but because of Chris’ methods of teaching I practice at home in my home recording studio when work allows and I want him to know that. I recommend him for any student.

After a year of ukulele lessons, I have witnessed tremendous growth in my daughter’s playing and skill level. She looks forward to her lessons, and is always in a great mood when done. I credit Emi, her teacher for making the lessons fun and engaging. She’s even turned a reluctant sibling into an attentive additional student! Emi is very easy to work with and incredibly flexible when things come up or schedules change. I highly recommend Alpine Music Studios.

Matt is an awesome teacher. My son has taken lessons from him for 5 years and still looks forward to his weekly session. Matt is very easy going and continues to keep the lessons fun for my son. Definitely don’t hesitate to try him out.. you won’t be disappointed.

Ms. Annie and her assistant Ingrid are fantastic ballet teachers. The respectful command these teachers have over playful 3 year old girls is beautiful to watch and such an important part of my daughters development. She is learning to appreciate Ballet as a skill set that makes her proud. She remembers that she has to listen and focus during practice and we can carry that over into other parts of her life. I have seen such an improvement in her focus and her confidence as a dancer. She's always floating around doing ballet dances. I like that they treat the dance as a discipline and hold the students to a standard. The student's rise to the occasion. I love this place and my daughter will continue to take lessons here as long as she is interested.

I absolutely love the piano lessons my kids have at AMDC. Their teachers are very engaging and are quite responsive to the kid's specific style and pace of learning. It has also been amazing to see how well they pivoted to online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. My kids have not slowed progress on piano thanks to Zoom, Ian, and Michae.

My daughter just began singing lessons and my son started drum lessons here with Lisa and so far we are really happy with the teachers, staff and level of service! They were very accommodating with my kids schedules, everyone has been friendly and communication is great. Highly recommend.

Great customer service. The Owner ensured we were paired up with an experienced and knowledgeable instructor who was a perfect match for my daughter. The payment plan system is easy. Excellent instructors. The instructor listened to my daughter and is helping her achieve her goals as well as make lessons fun and rewarding. We look forward to coming here each week.

My son (15) has never been terribly interested in music, sports, crafts, hiking etc. Since beginning here last year he has repeatedly told me how much he likes his guitar lessons! The staff is wonderfully accommodating and friendly. Lessons are very reasonably priced, too.

Scott (my guitar teacher who also plays thousands of other instruments) is so incredible! He is patient, knowledgeable, and always interested in working on something that interests me. Pricing is also so reasonable. Couldn't recommend him more.
