What a nice park. There are walking trails along the sound. There's also a wonderful playground. It has many features for different age kids. The lake next to it also has a lot of water foul to watch. It is in a neighborhood, so it's a little hard to find with a small parking lot.

Beautiful park, lots of great activities , again watch out for people on bikes as they go so fast and aren't watching for people walking. Great walk ways, wish the salmon were jumping.

Playground for kids and workout stations for big kids. Lots of fresh mulch for soft landings.

VALLEY OF THE MOON PARK REVIEWS

Valley of the moon park is a great destination in the Anchorage area. Here’s what I loved about it. The playground structures offered a variety of different types of play for children. Not only that, but they are slightly spread out to eliminate crowding. In addition to the structures, the park provides hosts a large field, a walking trail that connects to the Chester creek trail, and the sweet sounds of Chester creek babbling by. Unlike other parks in Anchorage, this park was devoid of vagrant squatting.

Great park, always like going here. Kids love it too. The playground is good but needs to be fixed/maintain. There are a lot of ducks there that the kids really like watching. Homeless is an issue. Tents everywhere, parts at the trails are closed.

This park has everything for everyone, kids park & dog park, cyclists, walkers, and hikers. The Chester Creek that separates people's backyard from the park is nice. I saw an educational sign on moose but didn't see any. I walked along the trail for 2.5 miles and went up a 125-step stairwell. I'd rent a bike the next time I visit Anchorage to ride here. Amazing, beautiful, and diverse city!!.

Nice park, lots of ducks, geese, and gulls with plenty space to wonder around with dog in grass and around multiple ponds. Paved path way bordering around and through park.

Great in the winter for skating with kids. The pond is well maintained, then the playground is fun after skating gets old.

Great place to take a walk with a nice paved track that circles a bird park. Hundreds of geese, ducks, seagulls, grebes, and magpies. It also has a full playground on the north end with out houses. Grassy area that is used to fly kites, practice yoga, and leashed dogs are welcome.
