3 Best Music Schools in Boston, MA

After becoming frustrated with an in person guitar teacher in my community, I decided to sign up for Lauren's 7 level guitar course. I am a self starter so this was going to be a good path for me, that said... I knew that I would have questions and need some personal guidance. This prompted me to contact LB Music School about supplementing my online instruction with a guitar teacher from her school. I was partnered up with Armand Sanchez and our relationship began. Every 2 weeks I do a zoom session with Armand. He is able to answer all my questions and give me advice on my development. Typically after a lesson within a few hours I receive a follow up email recapping the lesson along with a short video with either follow up information or a play along loop. This summer while visiting family in the Boston area I was able to meet him in person and do an intensive 2 hour lesson. I can honestly say that the best path for my learning style has been engagement with LB Music School and with my guitar teacher Armand who has now become a friend as well as my music mentor.

We are extremely happy with our son’s private drum and guitar lessons with Mike. Mike is AWESOME. He makes kids feel welcome, cared for, comfortable and excited about playing music. Our son can be nervous when trying new things and the second my son met him he skipped away for his lesson. He practices at home constantly on his own and uses what he has learned at music school. We can’t say enough good things. Additionally, the customer service has been nothing but great. The staff is prompt, friendly, good at communicating, understanding, and super easy to work with. We LOVE LB Music School.

My daughter and I take lessons here together weekly and it’s the highlight of our week. Both our teachers, Katy and Emily, are engaging and fun. We strongly recommend supporting this great small business.

Linda and Julie are the beautiful faces of BSMA. They are extremely efficient. They readily tackle any questions or scheduling conflicts. The instructors are knowledgeable and always friendly. They do a wonderful job of tailoring lessons to meet students where they are. Last, but not least, Sharon and Yuri are talented and passionate musicians. They have set the goal of filling hearts with the power of music and are committed to seeing that goal through to fruition for all who enter the doors of BSMA.

We’ve had a great experience so far with children’s piano lessons. The instructors are fantastic with kids, and the school has been easy to communicate with and be a part of.

BSMA has been very patient with a beginning musician (who doesn't always handle criticism well!), I'm very impressed at how encouraging and inspiring the instruction has been. Now if I could just get my son to practice more .
