John has a unique ability to quickly identify where you need improvement and customizes his lessons to your playing ability and desires. He is very patient and really takes the time to get to know you as both a player and a person. As far as music teachers go he is the best (and I’ve had a few) and he will help elevate your playing. My son started taking guitar lessons from John at age 10. John structures the learning in a way where a novice advances rapidly. My son is at the point where he understands the fretboard at age 11. I am an older guy and have been taking lessons on acoustic guitar with John since December. I enthusiastically look forward to our weekly sessions !! I feel that his goal is not for me to just play songs but to learn the appropriate techniques and music knowledge that will make me a complete musician.
