Dr. Thangamani Muthukumar did his MBBS at Madras Medical College, University of Madras, and his MS at Weill Graduate School of Medical Sciences of Cornell University. He obtained his MD at Stanley Medical College, India. He is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Internal Medicine (Nephrology). Dr. Muthukumar's research primarily focuses on the molecular aspects of kidney transplant rejection and kidney diseases in bone marrow and stem cell transplants. He has published extensively in this area, and his research has been supported by grants from the National Institutes of Health and the American Society of Transplantation.
