SAMI ABOUMATAR, MD - AUSTIN EPILEPSY CARE CENTER REVIEWS
I was diagnosed with epilepsy 24 years ago at age 18. And I have had my share of doctors over the years. When I was pregnant with my 3rd child, my obgyn suggested him for my complicated pregnancy. I’m glad that he did. I will not be switching neurologists again unless I absolutely have to. He is an amazing doctor with a wonderful staff. He is the first doctor, after all of these years, that was able to show me abnormal spikes on my EEG that would be seizures if I wasn’t on medication. He’s a soft spoken, knowledgeable doctor that truly cares about his patients. My husband and I will continue to drive to Austin from Houston, to receive his and his staff’s excellent care.
Absolutely love this office. Dr Aboumatar has the best bedside manner & his focus in patient care! He is great about explaining everything & answering any questions you may have. The front staff Valerie & Lakisha are absolutely wonderful!! Would recommend anyone who needs a neurologist to see Dr Aboumatar & his fabulous team!! Thank y'all Soo much with providing my dad with the care you did!
I have moved many times in my life. Dr Aboumatar by far is the best neurologist I have ever seen. He is thorough and takes interest in your whole well being. He uses up-to-date testing and on top of the meds he prescribes. I would highly recommend him! try and get a appt when he first opens in the morning.

IRIS WINGROVE, MD - OPTIMIZE NEUROLOGY, PLLC REVIEWS
Dr. Wingrove is hands down the best Dr and neurologist I have seen since my condition started. Dr. Wingrove is extremely knowledgeable, experienced, caring, and professional. After 3 years of multiple visits with other Dr's I had no answers or treatment suggested. Dr Wingrove was prepared for my 1st appointment, carefully reviewed my records, and took time to listen. Dr Wingrove was able to make progress when other Dr's couldn't or weren't willing to try. Since going to Dr Wingrove I have steadily improved. I wish I would have gone to her 3 years ago. It would have saved me time, money, and a lot of suffering.
Dr. Wingrove listens! She takes the time to get to know her patients and their medical history. She thinks outside the box at the whole picture abd discusses options many other doctors don't bother to mention. I highly recommend her for anyone who has known neurological issues or anyone who suspects they may have.
Wonderful caring doctor and staff. I cannot say enough good things about Doctor Wingrove in terms of her intelligence and bedside manner. Highly recommend.

GREG THAERA, MD - THE AUSTIN DIAGNOSTIC CLINIC REVIEWS
Dr. Thaera is a great physician who was easy to talk to and a joy to work with, especially as a young, newly diagnosed MS patient. Unfortunately, he is severely held back by the terrible system at ADC. I was very happy under Dr. Thaera's care for years but ultimately had to find another neurologist because ADC made some awful, cheap decisions about their patient portal and patient experience in general. It became too hard to schedule and even communicate with my care team when I needed to. Dr. Thaera gets 5 stars because I would gladly see him at another clinic. All of the problems I experienced were out of his control and he tried his best to help accommodate when he could.
I have been a patient of Dr. Thaera for several years and I think he’s great. He listens to my concerns, never makes me feel silly for saying anything, and genuinely cares. He even changed his office scheduling for certain treatments to make sure patients did not have to be in pain any longer than necessary. He’s an awesome doctor and a great person!!!
Dr. Thaera was both professional and caring. I felt like he really listened to me and was committed to helping me. I would happily recommend him to anyone. He was kind and efficient at the same time.
