“Dr. Ali Bydon received his medical degree at the University of Michigan School of Medicine in Ann Arbor and completed residency training in Neurological Surgery at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. He focuses on treating degenerative disorders of the spine, spinal tumors, and complex reconstruction and restoration of the spine. Dr. Ali Bydon is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. He is affiliated with Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. Dr. Ali Bydon is also the Spinal Column Biomechanics and Surgical Outcomes Laboratory director at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Ali's research focuses on spinal biomechanics, spinal disparities, and surgical outcomes, and he has co-authored over 140 peer-reviewed manuscripts and numerous book chapters. He was recently elected as the neurosurgical representative on the Johns Hopkins Faculty Senate. His seminal work on outcomes after lumbar disk surgery has earned over 100 citations. Dr. Ali Bydon is proud to be an educator who has helped train over 30 currently practicing neurosurgeons. He is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons.
