“Dr. Ken H. Tellerman graduated from State University of New York Downstate Health Sciences University, College of Medicine. He trained in pediatrics at Johns Hopkins and in behavioral pediatrics at the University of Maryland. He currently serves as teaching faculty in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Maryland and has been the chair of the Committee on Emotional Health for the Maryland Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics for over 20 years. He is affiliated with medical facilities The Johns Hopkins Hospital and Mercy Medical Center. Dr. Tellerman has received numerous awards from the Maryland AAP for his work on this committee as an advocate for developing mental health services for children and adolescents in Maryland. Currently, he is the medical director of a nonprofit group called OCHO (Organization for Community Health Outreach). He is also one of the co-leaders of the Maryland AAP Child Poverty Task Force.”
