JOEL B. RAGLAND, MD - NEUROSURGICAL ASSOCIATES, P.C. REVIEWS
I have never had a better doctor experience in my life! And this one being with a neurosurgeon who operated on my back makes it even more of a blessing. After lots of researching of neurosurgeons when I was told I was going to need surgery to fix my herniated disc, I found Dr Ragland and scheduled a consultation appointment. He sat with my wife and I for over an hour explaining what was happening in my back, what options we had available, what approach he would choose given the MRI and patient history information, and answering all of our questions. He was very thorough and listened to me. I defer to the medical professional here but was able to list my fears and concerns. Ultimately we chose the surgery route and felt good about it. Even though my MRI showed a fractured vertebrae, he said he didn’t see a reason to fuse it in the same surgery, that it was most likely an old injury and since I didnt have pain before this disc herniation that I’d probably be ok (a huge relief as I wanted to avoid fusion if possible). I’m now a few days out of surgery, my shooting pain and numbness in my left leg is gone immediately and my surgery incision site really isn’t even that bad. I don’t even need the hydros after day 2. All in all, it can be scary to be told you need back surgery. Dr Ragland not only has the experience but the patience to guide you through a successful recovery. 10/10 would find him again if my back needed operated on ever again.
Dr. Ragland, his assistant, Whitney, and all the office staff there were about the best I could’ve ever imagined dealing with. Every call answered every question answered, and my surgery went extremely well, couldn’t ask for a better outcome. Blessed to have found them.
Dr. Ragland treats his patients with the utmost respect. He’s friendly, open to questions, and shows interest in wanting to get your feedback on things. I’m very thankful he was my Neurosurgeon when I had to have a Craniotomy.
19 years ago he repaired a disc and until recently has done well. Planning to see him again soon - WC
My chances of having a good outcome was high but he was very honest about what the outcome of the could have been.

When I started having back problems and realized I had stenosis, I started looking for a neurosurgeon. Dr. Killeffer was very highly recommended to me. I had to wait over six months to get an appointment, but it was worth the wait. At my first appointment , he told me I didn’t have to have surgery, but I wouldn’t get any relief from the pain until I had surgery. I had back surgery four weeks ago today and am doing great! Dr. Killeffer is very caring…he cares about his patients. His nurse, Sarah, is amazing!! She was always available to answer any questions I have had both before and after surgery! I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Killeffer! Thank you, Dr. Killeffer for helping me!
Dr Killifer is always so kind to me. He performed my first fusion in 2009. I need a second fusion and he will be performing that one as well. I HIGHLY recommend him & his office.
Kind, professional, knowledgeable, listened to my problems and developed a course of action to rectify my health issues. Good person and a great neurosurgeon.

DR. RICHARD P. BOYER MD, FAANS - NEUROSURGICAL ASSOCIATES, P.C. REVIEWS
I have been a patient of Dr. Boyer’s for a very long time. I wish he did my initial surgery because I would not be in the shape I am now. As far as I’m concerned, he’s done everything he could to help me lead a less painful life. True, you may have to wait for an appointment and you may have to wait in the waiting room, but I would wait until I could see him because he is the best doctor for me. I consider myself lucky to be one of his patients. His staff is great (Laura) and has always helped me. I am very thankful Dr. Boyer is my doctor.
Parking can be difficult, be prepared for walk or to use the valet parking. Wait time was not too bad. Dr Boyer was pleasant and acted interested during our appointment. His knowledge and experience was evident as we talked. He seemed to care about understanding my problem rather than getting me in and out as fast as possible. that was a big Plus in my book.
Dr Boyers is Awesome and knows what he is doing!have been seeing him for over 10years now!Would recommend him to anyone!
