Her specialties include primary and pediatric care, emphasizing glaucoma, retina, and ocular surface disease. She fits many contact lenses and loves working with patients of all ages. I love this place!! Dr Akers is amazing- I have been seeing him for over 20 years and would not go anywhere else. My son and husband also see him. He is extremely thorough- concerned about the health of your eyes. The receptionists and those who help you choose your glasses truly care about you. Highly recommend Akers Pearson Eyecare.

I'd recommend Akers to anyone looking for optometry needs. Dr. Akers and staff provide caring, compassionate services, ensuring a pleasant experience throughout your exams. That same care is provided when picking out frames, etc., taking the time you need in making a selection that meets your needs. I highly recommend Akers Eyecare.

Would absolutely not go anywhere else for eye care. Dr. Akers is knowledgeable, professional, and treat you like an individual person,; he remembers you from one visit to the next. Staff is also extremely competent and efficient. I’ve never had to wait more than three minutes after I arrive to be seen.

I’ve been to a few other places for my eye exams but Oasis definitely set my standards higher. They guided me through the process and made me feel valued. My husband needed new glasses and e have always gone to a chain store and since we had good insurance I thought we would try an independent place. From the moment we walked in, I was impressed. It was beautifully decorated and you could tell that the furniture was not cheap but very luxurious. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and the Dr. was very thorough and explained every test and even let us take a picture of the picture of the inside of his eye! It took about a week for the glasses to come in and unfortunately it was as on a 3 day weekend so we had to wait to get his glasses. We are getting them today so if there is anything else to add I will after we pick them up.

Awesome place with awesome people. They cared about my concerns and questions. Didn’t feel like I was being rushed out the door to see the next patient and made sure I was happy with my contact prescription/eye exam. They also took the time to figure out why my vision has been blurry. Thank you.

We love this place! The girls (staff) are always all so nice and helpful. Both Doctors are very knowledgeable and friendly as well. They have the most up-to-date technology, it's amazing! My whole family uses Lee EyeCare and we would not use another eye doctor.
