“Dr. Ogie Asemota completed his medical degree at the University of Benin School of Medicine in Nigeria in 1982. Before specializing in pediatrics, he worked as a general medical practitioner in Nigeria, gaining valuable experience in various areas of medicine. He then pursued his residency in Pediatrics at the State University of New York Health Science Center in Brooklyn, New York, which he completed in 1996. Additionally, he enrolled in a Pediatric Cardiology fellowship for a year in Brooklyn, New York, further enhancing his skills in the field. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of prestigious medical associations such as the American Medical Association, North Carolina Medical Society, and Cumberland County Medical Society. He currently practices at Calvary Pediatrics, providing personalized and compassionate patient care. He is affiliated with Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, allowing him to collaborate with a network of healthcare professionals and access advanced resources when needed. He welcomes new patients to his practice and offers telehealth appointments. Dr. Asemota was chosen as most highly regarded by his patients’ parents by being awarded the “2009 Patients Choice Awards”.”
