FRANK PEPE PIZZERIA NAPOLETANA REVIEWS

Absolutely Delicious. We got in line 30 mins early and we were 5th in line. So expect a long line as it’s super popular, but so worth the wait if you love pizza. We ordered large pizzas which were slightly soupy in dead center, so next time mediums. Staff were friendly & service was fast. The atmosphere was chill and watching the oven get fed coal was a treat. Overall this is a must visit for any foodie.

The food is pretty okayish. However, when the pizza is served hot, it tastes great! Personally, I did not like the burnt texture of the pizza we tasted here ( Pepperoni Pizza), but I was told that this is the original way to eat a pizza.

1st time in Connecticut. Came here on a Wednesday around 5pm. Walked right in. Nice small place. Caesar salad was good. Pizza was real good. I ordered a small for just me but easily can feed me and my wife. Generous in toppings ordered. Pepperoni, mushrooms and sausage. I'd come back. Thanks Pepe.

MODERN APIZZA REVIEWS

Came here for lunch on a Saturday and had a wonderful experience. The wait was under an hour and we were able to buy beers during our wait. Street parking was easy to find. The pizza was as good as advertised. Great service, delicious A + pizza, fantastic atmosphere… a must when in New Haven.

We love going to Modern when we are in New Haven! We always get the Italian bomb it’s so delicious I highly recommend definitely better than Sally’s!!! Usually they are busy and there is a wait time but you can order on the side of the building for pickup or usually the time passes by fast. Service is always pleasant as well.

Finished the 3 NH pizza triple today. Pizza at Modern, like the others was stellar. Very crisp salad and great pizza. I preferred the clams casino and the traditional mozzarella.

SALLY'S APIZZA REVIEWS

Sally’s had a really long line last time we were in New Haven and we were starving so we ended up at Frank’s. We decided we would call ahead for carry out this time around to not make the same mistake. We ended up just eating the pizza in the parking lot so we could try it while it was hot and it is definitely really good. We liked the sauce and the crisp. I prefer Sally’s over Franks personally. Would love to come back in the future and dine-in for the full experience.

Fantastic! They claim to be the best pizza in the world. I think if you prefer a thin crust pizza then you will be inclined to agree! We tried the original and the Calabrian Stinger. Both excellent superb pizzas, would not miss this place if I return to New Haven! Great service too.

Since it's one of the Big 3, I had to try it. Truthfully, it's just ok. My best friend loved her white pizza. My pepperoni and sausage pizza tastes good, but not my favorite for New Haven pizza.
