HAPPY HOLLOW PARK & ZOO REVIEWS

This was the first time I've visited with my grandchildren. I used to bring my kids here years ago. The entrance used to be in the front, but the new back entrance has ample parking. I love the new suspension bridge. The price is GREAT!!! To visit for the day it's only $18 a person and children under two enter free. My grandchildren had a great time at the petting zoom and seeing all the different animals. The rides are definitely for younger children. I visited on a Sunday, and it wasn't overly crowded. We didn't have to wait more than 5 min to access each ride. The new trian was still under construction, so we didn't get to do the whole tour. Definitely recommend this place for a cheap, fun experience with younger children.

Great spot to take the kids and to have a picnic. It was only $18 per person (they have discounted tickets for military and seniors) and you can bring in your own food and drinks. We enjoyed a full day of rides, swing sets, zoo, and outdoor play time. We will come back for sure. Ohhh bring a blanket for a picnic, the best place to have a picnic is after the Zoo on the Crocket Crazy House area and they don't have tables there.

This was our first time at Happy Hollow Park & Zoo, and honestly, such a fun day with the fam! It’s not just about the animals — there are a bunch of playgrounds for the kids and even a little rollercoaster. We’re definitely coming back.

SAN JOSE MUNICIPAL ROSE GARDEN REVIEWS

This place is pure magic! The San Jose Municipal Rose Garden is a sensory paradise. Everywhere you turn, there’s a burst of color and a different rose to discover. I absolutely loved walking through and smelling all the unique varieties. It’s incredible how each rose has its own distinct scent and personality. The garden is beautifully maintained and so peaceful. Whether you’re a flower lover or just someone looking for a calming escape, this spot is a must visit. I left feeling refreshed, inspired, and surrounded by beauty. I love that people were meditating, sitting on the grass recharging, soaking in the warm sun in this beautiful garden today. Highly recommend visiting when the roses are in full bloom, it’s an unforgettable experience.

Absolutely stunning! Even in April, a bunch of the roses were already blooming. It’s peaceful, clean, and a perfect spot to relax or take photos. Free entry is a bonus. Would love to come back later in the season to see it in full bloom.

Really peaceful, cute place to take pics. Saw a lot of high school students taking prom pics. Had some live music and activities and lots of parking around the area. Really pretty.

CHILDREN'S DISCOVERY MUSEUM OF SAN JOSE REVIEWS

Fantastic spot to take your kids on weekend, holidays, etc. lots of different activities. Generally very clean and well cared for despite so many families who use it everyday. It is close to the lightrail station which is convenient if your home is also near a station, and fun for kids. Only limitation is the hours. They close midday, and around 4, so it is hard to find time to visit outside of nap times for young kids.

A museum dedicated to children, especially for younger kids, but children of all ages are welcome. There are 2 stories in the museum, excluding an area where it seems to be half of basement. There are a lot of fun and interactive activities for kids to learn and explore, but should be done under the supervision of adults.

Exceptionally good museum for little kids. Plenty of activities for all kinds of hands on play, including the water section. Recommended for children ages 2 and up.
