I go over all potential risks and possible complications related to a procedure with my patient directly instead of delegating to one of my assistants. Extensive evaluation at the initial consults, being proactive and preparing myself and my patients ahead of time, staying in direct contact with my patients 24/7, monitoring their recovery, and providing remedies for any unexpected situations. My goal is always to prevent issues before they happen.

I monitor recovery progress by staying in constant communication with my patients and their caregivers via phone and text. I monitor their comfort, activity, and hydration/nutrition during recovery. I provide my cell phone number to them as well. Patients are seen within 1-3 days after their procedures and weekly until healed up (usually 3 weeks), and as frequently as needed after that.

9. How do you ensure patient comfort during procedures?

A few hours before the procedure, patients are started on non-narcotic medications to assist with anesthesia and are given nerve blocks while under anesthesia. Nerve blocks keep them comfortable during the procedure and several hours thereafter. My multimodal preemptive pain management minimized the need for narcotics.
