Whiteford graduated from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and completed his general surgery internship and residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He completed his colon and rectal surgery fellowship at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Dr. Mark H. Whiteford is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons (FASCRS). He is a member of the Northwest Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons. He is an expert in minimally invasive colorectal surgery, including laparoscopic surgery and transanal endoscopic microsurgery (TEM, TAMIS). Dr. Mark H.
