He completed a Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the University of Washington in Seattle, and he received advanced post-doctoral training at the Menninger Institute at that time located in Topeka, Kansas. Normund J. Akots also completed additional training in clinical psychopharmacology, the use of medication in treating mental health concerns. He specializes in diagnostic psychological and neuropsychological testing and the treatment of severe personality disorders.
