Such a clean park. It would be 6 stars but you have to pay $5 for parking. You can always park for free along the road in and hike over but that's sort of a pain with little ones. The park itself is phenomenal. It's the perfect playground for 2-6 year olds. It's large, clean, and safe but challenging. There are several nice picnic areas, and the restrooms are clean.
It's a great park if you want to do your outtings with the fam. Especially if you want to bbq. it will be a bit cold because you will be high up in the mountains and possible under the shade of the big redwoods. Bring your jacket just in case and plenty of parking it seems. The playground is very kid/toddler friendly. Bathrooms were clean as well.
I've got a weekly ritual of going for hikes here. Hundreds of miles of trails, all of which are beautiful. I love the accessibility and diversity here. Just make sure to not leave anything in sight in your car, lots of break-ins.
