"Temescal Regional Recreation Area spans over 48 acres of scenic parkland, serving as a convenient urban oasis ideal for outdoor activity. It has wheelchair-accessible features, including a paved trail, fishing pier, and some playground areas. There are picnic spots at both ends of the lake. The park also has a beach house that accommodates 80 seated or 130 standing guests and features a small food preparation room, two rooms connected in an L shape, a bridal room, and a patio surrounded by gardens. Temescal Regional Recreation Area has ample parking spaces. There are many places to enjoy a great picnic and family gatherings in the park. The area boasts beautiful surroundings with many green spaces for relaxation. A large parking lot on the east side and a west-side parking lot are available.

2026 Update: Temescal Regional Recreation Area is conveniently located beside Highways 24 and 13, making it one of the most accessible outdoor destinations in Oakland. The swimming beach operates seasonally with lifeguards on duty and attracts visitors for sunbathing and lakeside relaxation. The lake is regularly stocked with rainbow trout during winter and catfish in summer, making it a favored fishing location."
