'The Uptown Nightclub' is a locally owned and run, medium-size independent bar or venue. The club has two spacious rooms. The live room has a meticulously modern stage lighting and tuned sound system. Even the bar room is decorated with a 30-foot historic mahogany bar that came through the Panama Canal. Every Tuesdays, they offer free live entertainment in front of the bar. They host stand-up comedy in the courtyard from 7 to 9 pm and a karaoke night from 9 pm to midnight on Wednesdays. They also try to hold the Tuesday night for local bands with possibly one touring band. Here, a variety of programming held on every Friday & Saturday. The Uptown Nightclub also hosts community events, dance parties, DJ nights, private or public events, fundraisers, screenings, birthdays, weddings, art parties, happy hours, hoedowns & karaoke throwdown. The club has several spaces open to rent for private functions for groups from 40 to 300 guests.
