Nobody wants to take their pet to the emergency room. This is not anywhere someone chooses to be. But the times our cats have needed emergency care, we’ve been so grateful to have MedVet so close by. Yes, it’s expensive, but that’s the reality of medical care, human or otherwise. All of their staff is kind, compassionate, and helpful. If your animal has to stay overnight, they call often with detailed updates and will talk as long as you need. You can call anytime day or night, and ask how your animal is doing. They are direct and realistic about your animal’s needs and care plan, and are patient and understanding as you weigh your options. Unfortunately, not every time we took our cats there has been a success story - but we know that they’re vets, not magicians, and we know that they always did all they could. We appreciate everything they’ve done for our pets over the years. Thank you for taking care of our pets when we could not.

It was quick, transparent, and straight forward. Dr. Byrum made the situation as comfortable as he could with me and my dog. He broke down what the process and testing he was going to do, then laid out all of the possible outcomes and associated prices. He was very knowledgable and most importantly he took the time to hear my thoughts and goals for my dog.

I was a little concerned about my dog's irritated/scratched eye and he was whimpering. I called the clinic and told them my situation and they were able see my dog on the same day. They were understanding and accommodating in making the appointment for us as soon as possible. The vet and veterinarian assistant were very thorough with my dog and gave him a good examine including taking his weight, accessing his records from his regular vet and ensuring he was chipped. He loved them and didn't resist their touching or the treatment he received. He is already feeling better and so am I.

The tech Jessica is amazing. They were very thorough, kind, thoughtful, knew their stuff, and helped me make a touch decision this weekend. I love this animal hospital, Dr Kate was there for me and my dog who has since passed whenever we needed her, even helped talk me through things while I was at the emergency vet! Highly recommend!!.
