TOP 3 TUPELO HONEY REVIEWS
I ate by myself this evening and it was not crowded for early dinner. My waitress Sarah was smiling and attentive. I ordered what I wanted and boy they did not disappoint! The fried pickles were thin and seasoned well, but the ranch I think was the star. The Mac and cheese waffles with the hot chicken…delicious. The milk gravy was just enough to keep it from getting dry. The house ginger beer had a kick to it which I loved. Couldn’t eat the banana pudding there but took a mini one home to enjoy later. Overall, a very good experience!
Amazing brunch spot near Downtown with a creative and fresh menu! We got the brussel sprouts as an appetizer and they were crispy with such a flavorful romesco. I ordered the smoked salmon with grit cake and loved it so much! I appreciate that the food is fresh and flavorful without being too salty or greasy at all. My friend got the breakfast bowl and even that, while crispy and savory, had such a fresh taste to it! Also a very fun selection of drinks. Excited to come back!
Excellent southern style food. Staff very friendly. Definitely return some day soon.

Here’s The Deal: Poole's is a Circa-1945 diner with seasonal comfort food, cocktails, and house desserts in a retro-chic setting. The idea of John Poole opened Poole's. They have an inviting child-friendly environment. Their cozy spot was a veritable holy grail of sweet pies, and their patrons wanted more recipes. Their teams are serving on a first-come and first-serve basis. Poole has returned to its diner roots under the ownership of Chef Ashley Christensen. The restaurant's famous chicken slick sandwiches and daily 'hot plates' made their way onto its menu, and the line to be subserved covered around the corner. If you are looking forward to celebrating any functions that are accommodated here large party rooms are opening at 5:30 pm. Car parking is available for your convenience. Poole's is highly recommended for vegetarians.

TOP 3 POOLE'S REVIEWS
Situated in a welcoming yet upscale diner, this spot serves the best updated takes on American classics plus new flavors as well. The mac and cheese was perfect. Delicious sauce, well-prepared noodles, and a crispy cheese outer shell that could be a menu item all on its own. I was also particularly impressed by the pimento cheese, the pickle juice Cesar salad, and the desserts. The chicken, pork, and asparagus were tasty as well. There’s a lot of creativity and artful restraint that goes into the food here. They do such a great job crafting delicious flavors and textures with well-done balance. Service was excellent and the meal was well-paced. There are tables, booths, and bar seats available. Street parking out front or a lot they offer validation for nearby.
Food was delicious and just well-made! Loved the atmosphere. We had the onion tart, marinated avocados and baguette, and for entrees we had the ravioli and the pork tenderloin. We did not have space for the Mac n cheese but that looked fire too. All just WOW.
This is fine dining in Raleigh! Love how small the venue is as well as how attentively each dish is prepared and presented. The pork tenderloin was coffee-brined I believe and the ravioli was stuffed with mushrooms.

TOP 3 SECOND EMPIRE RESTAURANT AND TAVERN REVIEWS
My amazing man brought me here for my birthday. We ate in the atrium, which was a gorgeous setting for a meal. From the hostess to the wait staff, all service was excellent - best I've ever experienced. The food was beyond delicious and was beautiful, and totally worth the expense. I received a copy of the menu signed by the chef as well as a birthday candle in my dessert, such nice touches. We will return here again and again, with pleasure.
Absolutely the best restaurant in town. My husband booked this place for my birthday. It was an incredible experience from the beginning to the end. Beautiful environment, delicious food, and top tier service. Our server Sam was knowledgeable and attentive. All the employees were friendly and helpful. Thank you for such a wonderful night.
Always a fabulous experience from the service to the historic building to the fantastic food. You can't go wrong here. Pictured is The Wilbur (craft cocktail), ribeye, bone in pork chop, and their charcuterie board.
