WARAJI JAPANESE RESTAURANT REVIEWS
We went to Waraji for a birthday dinner and it was quite the experience. The menu is extensive offering both regular items and seasonal items. The sushi offerings are so extensive they have their own menu. Not able to decide on so many types of sushi, sashimi, and specialty rolls, we opted to pick a sampler for table share. Every piece of sushi was absolutely amazing. The fish was so fresh it melted in your mouth. Waraji also offers dinner sets that can be for one or two people. The food portions are substantial. They also post an impressive selection of sake. This is definitely a restaurant you want to come prepared for. Do your homework and check out their online menu beforehand. We did and still had issues deciding on their delicious offerings.
I’ve been to Waraji a few times now and have never been disappointed. My go to is the “sushi for two” and it is the perfect amount to leave you feeling satisfied. You can tell that their selections of fish are great and super fresh, and the miso is some of the best in Raleigh. I went last night and it was hands down the best quality of fish I’ve had from them. Will always recommend Waraji.
Amazing food, amazing presentation, cannot say enough great things about this place. If you’re looking for authentic Japanese cuisine, look no further. We ordered sushi, but the menu had many traditional favorites - can’t wait to go back! Hands down best sushi in the Triangle!.

TONBO RAMEN REVIEWS
We were seated right away, downstairs. There is also an upstairs area with a bar, but we didn't get a chance to check it out. The atmosphere is quiet but inviting, and despite ending up with a full house, it never got exceptionally loud. I have a seafood allergy and they were more than accommodating. We started with the ram'n cheese bites and delicious is not generous enough. They were crispy without being oily and the flavor was mild and on point. The only sad part is it came with three and we had to share that last one. We both got the Katsudon bowl. The pork was cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth and paired nicely with the rice, egg, and onions. My partner ordered no onion and was happy with his. We paired a Hana sake flight and it is some of the best sake I've had. It's a flight of sweet sake, like apple or peach. All in all, a very delicious lunch.
One of my favorites in Raleigh! We went here on our anniversary, we love it so much. House made ramen, flavorful, lots of add-ons to make it your own. The buns are fantastic and highly recommended. Really nice beer selection that pairs well with the food - Hitachino Nest beers are fabulous. This is not pretentious but it's just right.
Really good Ramen spot , food was delicious. They also have alcohol options. Service was quick and easy, prices are worthy . Definitely recommend if you a fan of Ramen or just feel like it.

ORCHID JAPANESE RESTAURANT REVIEWS
The service alone stood out for us! They would bring up to four plates of food to our table within minutes of ordering. The sashimi was very fresh and we tried nearly all types of fish that they carry. Two big pluses for me are being able to order sushi without rice which is rare at buffets and that ice cream is included. It was a hit with the kids. The appetizers were pretty decent as well, we would recommend the teriyaki skewers appetizer and the shrimp shumai.
We used to drive 40 minutes just to come here, and we’re definitely glad that we live so much closer now. I hadn’t been here since before quarantine, but I was having a major craving for quality salmon sashimi. We went a little earlier so there wouldn’t be as many people. They had their usual full menu and the staff is always so awesome and attentive. They were all wearing masks (the correct way). The food was amazing and we left with a happy belly.
I am a sushi enthusiast along with my girlfriend. We go on multiple sushi dates and this place continues to never disappoint. There is not a sushi that they make that I do not like. They have amazing service and are extremely quick. Their sushi is presented like a piece of art. The prices definitely make the experience worth it. 10/10 recommend to everyone.
