The Bagel Place

Born and raised in New York, I've eaten my share of bagels over the years. These are the best bagels I've had, and my brunch guests agreed. We did a takeout order for a combo of plain, egg and everything bagels plus their plain cream cheese spread. The flavor and texture of the bagels were perfect. The bagels had a light crispness with hints of sweetness vs sourness. There was none of the chewiness and dryness you expect with bagels. Our order was filled right away, and the price was very reasonable. Their cafe space is cozy, especially the back room, if you choose to eat in. When my shiba and I walk by here in the early morning hours, we see the staff already hard at work. We will be back to try their sandwiches.

Looking for a bagel spot in Queens Village this is it! So many bagel offerings you're bound to find something you like or try something new. I got a toasted bacon, egg and cheese on wheat. It tastes good, but whatever brand of bacon they use is a bit salty, which is why I get it on wheat instead of my usual ET bagel. They have ample seating and a cool book to sit and relax.

Very nice staff. Ask them anything, and they will go above and beyond. They place very generous amounts of cream cheese. They serve them in little cups. I had asked them to give me 2 different cream cheeses, and I thought they would just smear on my bagel and place it together, but they gave me individually in small cups. In my humble opinion, one cup is great enough for the whole bagel. I'm sure you will enjoy that place:)
