Great breads, pizza, and baked goods. All of the breads are delicious, and prices are reasonable too! I recommend the pizza, hella wet baguette, and olive bread. The pastries are also excellent, but I would not consider them to be a shop specialty. There is always a line unless you get to Acme at opening -- expect to wait in line at least 10-15 minutes at most times of the day, and more during peak hours. The front parking lot does not have many spaces, so it can be difficult to park there. There is a second parking lot behind the building with more space, or alternatively there should be street parking nearby.

One of the few places that lives up to the hype. I saw a long line snaking outside and it took us 20 min to enter the store. I had high expectations and I was not disappointed. We ate have the bread we bought in the car before we arrived home. The pain epis and sourdough were the best but we obviously have not tried 5 percent of what is on offer. I will try more variety in the future and update my review.

This place is bread perfection. Been coming here for about 15+ years. Have never had anything bad there. Place is great, staff are friendly. You just have to get in early to have you pick at what you want. Bread just flies off the shelf there.

It truly is unbelievable what they can create in this incredibly small bakery. We picked up a dozen different items all delicious. You cannot go wrong stopping here for a sweet treat. Only advice is to get here earlier in the day than we did as they sell out of so much. The breads are beautiful (works of art) and incredibly flavorful, most make using Levain dough. Wowee on the Meyer Lemon Shortbread - wished I had ordered 2 of those. Scones were amazing and so was the chocolate croissant. We walked around the corner and sat on a bench and enjoyed.

Local hidden Diamond bakery located at inner Berkeley, next to the Fairmont hotel. We ordered croissant, scones and some more. Very tasty and special, especially the walnut scone, unlike the others , it’s not too sweet but the favor of the nuts is highly enhanced, the unique taste made it outstanding among other bakeries!

We’ve tried their Pain au Chocolat, Traditional Croissants, Walnut Coriander scones, Paris Brest - they all are very well done with the perfect consistency and ideal sweetness!

Lavender is a paradise for anyone with a sweet tooth! This was my first time visiting, and so many of my friends had highly recommended it. The variety of pastries on offer was impressive, making it tough to choose just a few. We ended up trying a selection, and each one was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich, and the textures were perfect. We also ordered their signature Lavender tea and Black tea, both of which were refreshing and complemented the pastries beautifully. The ambiance was cozy, with a charming atmosphere that made the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Lavender to anyone looking to indulge in some amazing treats and enjoy a peaceful tea time. Can't wait to go back!

The pastries are absolutely amazing- I've had them for dessert and breakfast and everything has been impeccable. The burnt almond cake and Napoleoni were perfect!! The strawberry whipped cream cake is light, airy, and sweet. Pastries, like the apricot turnover was amazing, pistachio and strawberry eclairs were decadent, and all the pastries have been consistently delicious- light and sweet!

I had the Tiramisu, and it was amazing! The mascarpone was perfectly balanced—not too sweet and so creamy. The ladyfinger layers were just right, adding the perfect texture and flavor. It felt like a true Italian-style dessert. Will definitely be coming back for more! Thanks.
